May 26, 200619 yr :o I really, really hope she isn't there then. Stands to reason, dunnit, she'll probably charge £250,000 at least, and bear in mind that seeing her in concert would set you back about £80 quid anyway.... If you're gonna pay £250,000 to get a band to play Glasto, get the Stones, they're a better fit for the festival and whatever you may think of them, they are a legendary band and if 2007 does turn out to be the last Glastonbury ever, well, you should have a band like them play, they are one of the bands instrumental in kicking off the whole idea of 60s counter-culture which the Glastonbury festival grew out of....
May 26, 200619 yr they should get queen+ paul rodgers to play at glastonbury, i know theres no freddie and it an never be the same, but their not bad with paul, and id enjoy seeing them

Queen were sh!te with or without Freddie..... <_< , and Queen were hardly part of the 'Counter Culture', they were as establishment as it got....
May 26, 200619 yr Author The Stones are dire live these days. They are far to old and sound Jagger sounds awful IMO.
May 27, 200619 yr  Fukk that! Queen were sh!te with or without Freddie..... <_< , and Queen were hardly part of the 'Counter Culture', they were as establishment as it got.... HOW DARE YOU!! quen were the ultimat band, the darkness are just a queen rip-off band, queen had 4 members that could all sing:Roger taylor can play evry instrument there is, had 3 top 40 albums, loads of top 40 singles, he was phenominal on the drums, hada better voice than fredie, Brian May could sing perfectly, and was posibly the best guitarest ever. John Deacon, ok, he was shy and reclsive, but he even had a god voice, frddie mercury was the best show,an ever, just look at live aid, 150,000 fans, ll clapping along to radio-ga-ga. Your such a div if you dont like queen, their the greatest band ever And also, its disrespectfull to say you dont like quien, fredies been dead almost 15 years (24th nov)
May 27, 200619 yr Author Queen were an amazing band and Freddie was the greatest live performer and frontman off all time IMO. :D
May 27, 200619 yr You're such a plum. How can it be disresptful to say you don't like Queen because Freddy Mercury is dead? Does that mean its disrespectful to dislike Mozart, The Who, EMF, Miles Davis and Desmond Dekker (RIP)? Roger taylor can play evry instrument there is Right, let's see him on the bassoon eh? Idiot.
May 28, 200619 yr yes, i think its disrespectfull to say you dont like any of those bands. whats a bassoon??? i mean he can play all the normal instruments
May 28, 200619 yr Is it just me or are all these festivals (Reading, Leeds, 02, T in the Park, Oxygen, V, etc...) with very similar bills to them just smacking ever-so-slightly of Corporate Over-kill......? And incredibly over-priced to boot... thing on teletext saying "too many festivals. there is only so many times when you can watch tunng and jose gonzalez dont you think"

May 28, 200619 yr Half of The Who are dead...so, don't be disrespectful. You should like them twice as much as Queen because they have twice as many dead members. So say brother ElPresRocket
May 28, 200619 yr yes, i think its disrespectfull to say you dont like any of those bands. Disrespectful? Bollocks! Queen were the most ludicrous band in the history of music. EVER!! Pretentious, boring, godawful bollocks.... The absolute enemy of all music lovers everywhere.... Thank God for Punk Rock, a refreshing antidote to the Prog Rock portentiousness of Queen....
May 28, 200619 yr Half of The Who are dead...so, don't be disrespectful. You should like them twice as much as Queen because they have twice as many dead members. So say brother ElPresRocket your right, i should like them twice as more, thanks
May 28, 200619 yr your right, i should like them twice as more, thanks Don't mention it. Hey...you might like the Ramones too. Three quarters of them are dead.

Didn't Kylie charge about £30 for her last tour?
May 31, 200619 yr Is it just me or are all these festivals (Reading, Leeds, 02, T in the Park, Oxygen, V, etc...) with very similar bills to them just smacking ever-so-slightly of Corporate Over-kill......? And incredibly over-priced to boot... Get out of UK and go check out some of the Euro Festis, much more variation and you are guaranteed to hear some very cool European bands that you'll have never heard before..... I'll ignore the Glasto comments as already arguing on another thread :) But I have to agree here... I was going to do Oxygen this year as the line-up looked quite good the last few years but after talking to people that have been it's basically just another Reading/Leeds/V with no soul so I passed. Last year I did Lowlands (in Netherlands) and while better then the average UK festis, it still wasn't that great. In 2003 I went to Benicassim and liked it alot so doing that again this year. It's next to GREAT beach and really chilled out. Lineup looks surprisingly good too I must confess! Bands I plan to see are Echo & the Bunnymen, Pixies (woot!), Coldcut, Isolee, James Holden, Nathan Fake, Tiga, White Rose Movement, Editors, Morning Runner, The Organ, Soulwax, 2 Many Djs, Rufus Wainwright, Superpitcher, Depeche Mode (top 5 band of mine and never seen before), Art Brut, dEUS, The Rakes, and We Are Scientists. Echo and the Bunnymen getting a deserved headline spot (although I take serious issue with Moz playing support to Franz Ferdinand..... <_< ), I could probably live without the first night though, not a Scissor Sisters fan..... And I reckon they're a bit ambitious if they think that Pete Doherty will actually turn up to play his band's set.....
June 1, 200619 yr echo i LOVED at glasto 2003, but 2005 they frankly sucked. Agreed they should be headlining as they are one of the better bands of our generation... Doubt they will be last up that day tho, but that's a bit of a blessing in disguise as the last act starts at 3-4 AM at this festi! Hopefully it will be the Strokes as not really bothered about them either. Moz is there as he pulled out in 2004 and owe them a favor... maybe it's the only day they could play and put them with FF. I doubt I'll watch either of them tbh so not bothered. I also hate Scissor Sisters and won't even be there that day (it's a bit extra to go that first night and we decided to spend the night in Barcelona instead...)
