All Killer No Filler - Sum 41, first time i had ever ventured outside chart music into guitar music and they remain my favourite band today! Thankfully their musics matured a bit now since 2001!

S Club 7 - S Club

...I had no musical guidance as a child.

This topic reminded me how against (with the danger of sounding 'old') the younger generation are about having a first physical album. My 11 year old sister was asking me about illegal downloading and how to do it and all I could think about was how when I was her age, getting my weekly pocket money and spending it on CDs was the highlight of my week! She couldn't look less bothered.

I do believe the first CD I bought with my own money was Rachel Stevens - Funky Dory

My first CD Single was Kylie - I Believe In You.

S Club 7 - Sunshine

I loved S Club 7 when I was little, and even now I go back and listen to them sometimes. They've done some classic songs that will stick with me forever.

Mine was Reckless from Bryan Adams. I entered the "CD age" quite late-around 90 or 91 from memory. I had the original album on cassette and as I loved it so much (still do!) made a conscious decision to make it the first CD album I bought.
Girls Aloud - Sound of Girls Aloud, Greatest Hits. Honestly it actually was!
That really bad album by the feeling that they released in 06 i think. I listened to it once then put it outside on the alotment to scare crows away.
Spirit by Leona Lewis was the first I ever bought for myself with money that I had, but beforehand I was bought Made Of Bricks by Kate Nash and Alright Still by Lily Allen.
First single I brought was Steps 'Heartbeat/Tragedy' and the first album was Britney's 'Baby One More Time'. Like Harve, I was such a gay child.
French albums... For MC tapes In-Grid`s Shock, for CDs Celine Dion`s 1 Fille & 4 Types , nice bonus edition with all the biggest hits :)
:thinking:I guess it was O-Zone - DiscO-Zone, I was kind of obsessed with 'nu mă, nu mă iei'

My first album I'm sure was All Saints' 1st album, 'All Saints'. I was a cool kid! Everyone else at my primary school was a Spice Girls nut, me and my best friend loved All Saints. So much so that in a 'minibeast' survey we did in Year 5, he christened a slug he'd found as 'Natalie' and I christened a wasp I found as 'Shaznay'. Weird I know.

I think it was 'Is This The Way To Amarillo' in 2005, although I did buy The CIN Medley in 2009

as for albums, probably the very first was something like Pop Party  Some of my first were X&Y (Coldplay) and Intensive Care (Robbie Williams)
