I'm kind of glad Nickelback is #1. I don't think it's the best song in the top 10 at the moment, but it's much better than Basshunter. If Basshunter manages to get 6 weeks at number 1 it will be crazy.

I've got a question about the Duffy's "Rockferry" listing in the Monday midweeks.

 

In the iTunes chart, Duffy's "Mercy" is at 15, while "Rockferry" is at 30.

 

Is there any other listing for Duffy in the Top 75. It seems odd that "Rockferry" would be higher than "Mercy" given the weighting of downloads.

Hope so!!!, I don't want to go back to the days when people visiting the UK thought all we cared about in terms of music was dance. Can't stand that music, what with it's fake computer generated drum cymbals which had 1.5 seconds between each sound, and Ibiza style synths.

 

Hopefully Nickelback and the alternative bands releasing albums this year, will put that right :).

We only have top 40 information at the moment - Itunes is not the only download retailer, so just because Mercy is higher on Itunes doesn't mean it has to be higher overall

 

Also Mercy is at 15 now, but it wasn't at 15 when the OCC would have compiled today's mids

 

Mercy will be much higher in the mids tomorrow

I should imagine that Jack Johnson's sales will be quite high again this week, seeing as it's Valentines day on thursday.
