December 14, 200618 yr listen to it a couple of times. the song that hasnt grown on me is suga mama (ew) Ugh..that has to be the worst Beyonce track..I dislike that one greatly. I haven't listened to the album enough to form a solid opinion yet..I'm getting it for Christmas.
December 15, 200618 yr Ugh..that has to be the worst Beyonce track..I dislike that one greatly. I haven't listened to the album enough to form a solid opinion yet..I'm getting it for Christmas. i think you'll like it!! :cheer:
December 18, 200618 yr Irresistbale is def the best. I bet if that was released first then the album would have sold better worldwide
December 21, 200618 yr Author On Billboard it drops 7 places this week to #20, but sells a healthy 130k taking it's overall US cume to 1,730,421. Next stop 2m. :D
December 29, 200618 yr Author Exactly Matty, everyone was going on about how bad the album was and how it would bomb, yes it hasn't done as well as DIL (SO FAR) but it's doing a hell of a lot better than most expected. ^_^
December 29, 200618 yr if irreplacable was first single i think the album woul dhav ehad far better 1st week sales in the uk anyhow
December 29, 200618 yr Author Hmmm I don't know about that, it may have had better first week sales, but would one of the other tracks have kept B'Day in the album chart so long?
December 29, 200618 yr ya thats true also,im not abig fan of beyonce i really didnt like deja vu at all, irreplacable really grew on me ,it has kept the album steady in the uk do u know the albums uk sales to date?
January 6, 200718 yr Thats the prob with having a huge first album. The follow up has a lot to live up to. But I think it has done quite well and will prob stay round for a while becuase of irreplaceable
January 7, 200718 yr Author As of the end of 2006 it stood at 327,900, which is over half of DIL's total sales, so she COULD match the sales of DIL in the UK with a little work and promotion. ^_^
January 7, 200718 yr Author Considering DIL was #1 for 5 weeks in the UK it didn't sell that much... Very, very true. I thought the exact same thing when I saw how much it had sold. It went double platinum and all, which is excellent for any album, but to be #1 for 5 weeks that really isn't much at all. I mean look at Take That they've only been out like 5 weeks and they've sold over a million. That's Christmas sales though, but you get my drift. ^_^
January 7, 200718 yr "In its first week, "B'Day" the album sold more than 541,000 copies in the U.S., immediately coming in at number one, making Beyonce the highest first-week sales as a solo artist. This is also the highest first-week sales of any solo female artist in 2006, a record which used to be held by pop singer Christina Aguilera whose album Back to Basics sold 346,000 copies in its first week. In the UK, B'Day debuted at number three with sales of 35,000 copies, and has sold in excess of 300,000 copies, making the album Platinum."
