I've been trying for the last hour to reduce the size of my podcast file, but unfortunately have had no luck so it may take you a while to load the page. For anyone who can't hear it, she talks about Amy Winehouse and how the papers are quick to put up a picture of her smoking crack but don't say f*ck all about her success. She then talks about her new presenting job she's got & the film she's just been shooting too (I think she's only done the trailer though).

 

She then goes on to answer fan questions. She talks about the original video for "Bout", and how they had to re-shoot it because Rah Digga looked a mess. She also said there's a video to "Thinking 'Bout You" too, which she shot in New York back in 1998 or 1999, but because radio weren't playing the song they scrapped it (hear she sings a bit from verse 1 of the UNRELEASED version of "Thinking 'Bout You"). Simon asked her if she'd be able to put up some unreleased songs, to which she answered no because if she did, she'd be getting sued. She said she wishes "One Day" was released from 'Drama', "Off Da Endz", "Club Hoppin" and "Life" from 'Thank You' and "Know My Name" or "La La Love" ... or "Get Up, Get Out" from 'Walk With Me' and says that the FORCED release of "No More" was what made her walk away from Parlophone. She then sung bits of "La La Love", "Know My Name" and "Love Me" a'capella in response to one of my questions. As for the new album, she says she currently doesn't have a deal and has had offers but she doesn't think they were right for her. She's in and out of meetings with people about label stuff. What to expect from the next album? "The real Jamelia" she says.

 

I think that's about it really, as far as her music & other career stuff is concerned.

 

It's a nice, funny little podcast too though.
