Posted February 27, 200817 yr After deciding Middlesbrough's appeal against Jeremie Aliadiere's sending off was 'frivolous' they've added an extra match to his ban meaning he will now be suspended for four games! There are three reasons for this being COMPLETELY ridiculous! 1) Why ban the player? The CLUB appealed, NOT Aliadiere, so why is it the player that serves the punishment? 2) Earlier in the season Michael Essien was sent off (against Derby I think) for pretty much EXACTLY the same thing, Chelsea appealed but the three match ban was to stay. 3) He was sent off for putting his hand to Javier Mascherano's face, and giving him the TINIEST of slaps. Why did he do this? Because Mascherano had just done EXACTLY the same and put his to Aliadiere's face! So two questions; 1) Why hasn't Mascherano been banned for even one match, let alone four? Last time I checked it was a sending off offence to raise your hand towards the face of an opponant. 2) Why didn't Essien serve an extra match ban? The answer is simple, both Mascherano and Essien play for clubs in the so called 'big 4' which ONCE AGAIN the FA are completely biased towards! AWFUL! :manson:
February 27, 200817 yr t'is a disgrace, yet more proof of the protection of the big 4 clubs because The FA just couldn't upset them
February 27, 200817 yr Author Also, I think it shows young kids that if you lose your temper you may as well go the full force and actually hit them hard. Barton elbows and goes in late foot high in the groin area = NOTHING for the first/Yello for the second. Aliadiere, a tiny slap = 4 matches. You work it out.
February 27, 200817 yr "Liverpool? Chelsea? We can't punish them. Middlesbrough? Who they?" Similiar to the reason why West Ham weren't chucked out of the PL for playing Tevez - I still don't think anyone knew *who* owned him - but kicked Bury out of the FA Cup for fielding an illegible player and docked points off AFC Wimbledon for the same reason.
February 27, 200817 yr Aliadiere should never have been sent off in the 1st place, neither him or Masch should - was just trivial petty stuff. Masch has a temperment like that and he's not experienced in the matter but if Aliadere went then he should have gone too.

I think the main reason West Ham weren't chucked out is because 1) they would get more money from fining them which would suit the greedy bast*rds down to the ground and 2) they thought they were going down anyway.

Even though it looked liked they were going down, I still would have deducted points from them.
March 2, 200817 yr place your bets on Lampard's red card appeal: a) being successful and revoked B) unsuccessful and that's that c) unsuccessful and FRIVOLOUS and an extra match added to the ban
March 2, 200817 yr Hmm i'm not sure. He SHOULD have gone, but if he did then so should Boa Morte. I'm not sure if the FA will over-turn it though. I think they might because Boa Morte didn't even get a yellow when he was just as bad as Lampard.

March 3, 200817 yr Author Both Lampard and Aliadiere's were similar for me. Both deserved to go but Boa Morte and Mascherano should've gone too. Yes, Lampards should be overturned, or give Boa Morte the appropriate ban. But then it shouldn't because they need to be consistant which they wouldn't be following last week...
March 3, 200817 yr place your bets on Lampard's red card appeal: c) unsuccessful and FRIVOLOUS and an extra match added to the ban :rofl::rofl::rofl: The FA being consistent? Don't make me laugh (more than I am already).
March 3, 200817 yr  well well well surprise surprise, Chelski are appealing  Outcome will be known tomorrow.
March 3, 200817 yr Well i'm not suprised they're appealing, might as well give it a shot. Stats are against them however. Only 1 appeal has been successfully given the green light this season in the Premier League!

March 4, 200817 yr what a farking joke and disgrace! At a Regulatory Commission hearing today, a claim for wrongful dismissal from Chelsea's Frank Lampard was upheld. As a result, Lampard's three match suspension has been withdrawn. Lampard was sent off for violent conduct during Chelsea's game against West Ham on Saturday 1 March. Withdraw Aliadiere's now!
March 4, 200817 yr Author Yeah, the FA are a complete joke. I do think Aliadiere's was worse because it was the face but there's NO consistancy...
March 4, 200817 yr face or chest, the intent of violence was there. Is this what they want youngsters to learn coming through the ranks, that it is OK to push someone over? I've never complained about Aliadiere's ban, he was silly, but the fact he had a game added, and Mascherano got off scott free, plus this today, shows the protection of the big four ever so clearly.
