I actually have to really think about it before I remember how this song even goes. It's that forgettable.

Right seriously. What is wrong with me? I'm sure the UK could choose absolutely any old dross, and this same thing would happen.

I'm listening to - and quite liking - Andy Abraham atm. :arrr: This is so shameful. Something in my brain must subconciously just make me like whatever we churn out.

The Revelations really are amazing. I will never understand the "Great" British public. -_-
Our best Eurovision entrant ever
He sang it live 3TIMES and i can't remember a word, im actually overly pissed off and it has put me off watching the show.

It's because millions of UK viewers are familiar with him and it only took a small % to vote for him and that was that. :(

Well, there won't just be a turkey from Ireland this year, the UK is sending it's own.

Andy should step down and let someone else go, surely he most realise this such a weak song stands no chance.

Andy should step down and let someone else go...

That's EXACTLY what we all said last year Scooch should do. Geez, I even signed a petition (three actually, if I remember correctly) to that effect.

So, who should replace Andy then?

Michelle Gayle, with that horrible and atrocious heap of RUBBISHNESS?

Or The Revelations, where the girl in the red dress sang so dreadfully off-key she made Jemini sound like professionals?

At least Andy CAN sing. And he is unquestionably a good PERFORMER!

Maybe he might just give the UK a good result.

I think this is what lead the British public astray - Andy Abraham's WAS the best performance. He's the only one who stayed in tune throughout the night (listen to how ragged Michelle Gayle got towards the end of her second performance). I think The Revelations had the best song but they couldn't sell it because of a poor vocal performance. I don't blame the public, I blame the organisers for giving the best song to some shopgirl wannabes. Back to the make-up counter at Boots for them I fear!

The worse UK entry in my lifetime, and possibly ever in the history of the competition.

i agree! and ive been watching this for 40 years. id even prefer scooch to this, and that was bad enough...

yeah... maybe the public was confused after watching so many tv talent shows, but the eurovision song contest is littered historically with less then perfect performances... sandie shaws 'puppet on a string' was a very poor performance but went on to win...

I'm feeling strangely positive this morning. The song is pretty forgettable, but let's be honest, it'll be pretty different to most of the stuff that's on offer in Belgrade in May. I don't actually ever recall this sort of soul (?) song. It could get the adult vote, but I don't know.

It's nowhere near as bad a disaster as last year though, when we had a guaranteed top ten (at least) placing with Cyndi - none of this year's six would've troubled the scoreboard greatly.

These are exactly my sentiments today! ;) I mean, Andy's song is not good, but it's certainly not as BAD as some members make it either. And, we know at least it will be well performed in Belgrade.

I agree he was EASILY the best performer on the night. It is just a pity he was singing the WORST song out of the six.

The real tragedy was the Revelations could not nail their vocals as they easily had the best song. As I said on the night if only The Pipettes could have sung It's You then we might have stood a chance in Belgrade in May.

Pipettes - Pull Shapes (Live)

As it stands we deserve another bottom six finish, and I would not bet against another NIL Points.

I would've been so happy and actually PROUD had the Revelations gone to Belgrade. I don't think they would've se the scoreboard on fire, but at least it would reflect the British music scene for once, and it IS a decent song.

Well I'll say what I think of Andy Abraham and his song later on, because I'd like to post a general review of the show, but I have to say I take back what I said about LoveShy standing a better chance than the Revelations. Neither were perfect vocally, but LoveShy were very very off, and the Revelations' song was extremely catchy and the performance really sold it. So out of those 2 I was converted to the Revelations last night.

But I can see why it wasn't picked.

Absolute f***ing $h!t. I honestly hope to god we come last this year so the BBC will realise that the British public are far too stupid to vote with their ears as opposed to name value (yeah, like Europe are really gonna give a f*** that he finished 2nd in some talent show!) and start internal selection instead -_- Michelle Gayle surprised everybody - she should've represented us!
The song is ridiculously forgettable as well. Surely anybody could see that Michelle Gayle would've actually stood a chance for us with that performance?
