May 23, 200619 yr I'm sorry Scotty, but I don't find it amusing at all, it came across to me as shooting himself in the foot and he sang it without any feeling or emotion, big mistake. :(

He probebly did'nt sing it with any emotion cause he did'nt care about breaking the US -_-

May 23, 200619 yr Robbie I think is one of those individuals who you either 'get' or you dont. People seem to split 50:50 into those who really understand his humour and sense of irony and those who think he's an idiot (and an arrogant idiot). I never seem to meet anyone who says 'Yeah, he's OK'. Opinions seem to be quite polarised. You love him or you hate him. I don't really see that changing to be honest. ^_^
May 24, 200619 yr I neither love nor hate Robbie, but I do love the song Angels. He may be quirky, and have a unique sense of humour, but singing this song in this manner does him or it no favours :( I don't think it's strictly correct to say Robbie didn't care about breaking the US, maybe he just didn't care enough :( I just wonder if all the people in this country who bought/listen/love the record, would feel a little cheated by his treatment of it here? I think it's a truly beautiful song, and deserves better, it makes no difference whether I get Robbie or not -_-
May 26, 200619 yr :D Brilliant, thank you! I think it's just his style to perform like that, he will always show his true feelings and has a skill at mixing great sincerity with great insincerity. I think that if he always performed Angels sincerely, he would have to be pretending sometimes (which I suppose he has to do sometimes anyway.) I personally find it much more interesting and entertaining when he performs however the moment takes him and adds some humour, it's part of what makes him Robbie! After all, I thought that in between the commentry he sang that better live than I've heard him sing it for a long time. It makes a change from letting the crowd sing it.
