March 21, 200817 yr if Bleeding Love sells over 200,000 downoads and has a high boost in airplay the next week, will it have a chance at #1 since usher's sales are decreasing.

Usher's still too strong on airplay (and still increasing). I think Leona will be Top 5 next week, if she's lucky maybe Top 3, but definitely not Nr.1!
March 21, 200817 yr Leona needs to sell 75k more than Usher and she'll be #1. Her pop bars are DOUBLE of his, so yes it's quite possible that she will do it this week. :)
March 21, 200817 yr Leona Lewis still has a chance going to #1. Usher's sales are decreasing while his airplay is increasing. it could work against him. Besides, Leona Lewis released bleeding love as a physical single.
March 21, 200817 yr It still doesn't mean Leona will get #1. Airplay is weighted more heavily on the chart. Usher still has over a 1000 spin lead in the mainstream chart over Leona. Usher is also near the top in Urban airplay and Rhythmic airplay where Leona isn't even in the top 30 for both of those. It'd be nice for her to pull it off but it's still going to be hard!

It'd be nice for her to pull it off but it's still going to be hard! Physical sales don't make a real difference in the U.S. either. You can't really find singles at any stores and no one really buys them anymore. They've been dead here for quite a long time.
March 21, 200817 yr Like I said, physicals don't seem to do much for sales here at all anymore. They used to for some American Idols but even that seems to be long gone.
March 21, 200817 yr Music Maniac, do you know the high school musical 2 single "what time is it" debuted at #6 last summer with 87,000 copies sold in physical singles. explain that?
March 21, 200817 yr i think Leona still has a chance of outselling Mariah....Oprah will help 4 sure... Unlikely. Keeping in mind that within the next 2/3 weeks Mariah has Oprah, American Idol (3 times), The Today Show, Regis & Kelly, Late Show with Letterman...
March 21, 200817 yr u forgot ,kelly, that leona lewis has american idol and her album released will increase download sales. mariah carey is on oprah and american idol the same week her album comes out. it doesn't really help since mariah carey's download sales will all increase in one week. leona will has it spread out to increase download sales. besides she has a lot of time to hit #1
March 21, 200817 yr I bet Mariah could knock Leona off the top of iTunes when her single is released digitally. 'Touch My Body' is already a top 10 mainstream radio track and if she does knock Leona off the top then she will be #1.
