The Madrid setlist was the same as Munich and Geneve again, with YDNY spoken part done in French.

Apparently though, as of tomorrow a new song will be rehearsed (The One again? Please Stay, Giving You Up, or an older song/album track perhaps...) and a current song will be dropped from the setlist. And tonight (Thursday night) she plays Luxembourg.

A few show memories for you.

First off, I was pretty surprised that she had exchanged the whole band, but the new band did a great job - particularly when it came to rocking out! More on that later. The new backing vocalists were excellent, and much less dominant than on the previous tour. And I loved the brass section - great move there!!

As for the set, it was very much hit-and-miss, particularly in the first section. I had my scepticism on all the new tracks (X and unreleased), and I was pretty much proved right at this. The first part of the set, in particular, never really got off ground. The opening was very spectacular, but everytime the crowd really got into it, some new song was pulled out which left everybody thinking WTF (marked in red) and the show sort of fell back on the ground.

Only two songs from the first set, Wow and Slow - which, very surprisingly, was played in a rock version which was amazing! - really peaked in the first set. Shocked, Spinning Around, 2 Hearts and Copacabana all were nice, without being truely great, and Like A Drug (my favorite from the album) fell a bit short on the performance, although the entry on the skull was cool! Maybe the awful accoustics of the venue had part of the guilt for that, however, same thing with Speakerphone, where the finer parts of the arrangement was completely lost in the heavy sound.

The break came at the wrong place in the show, if you ask me. First part felt longer than the second, and putting the break after 2 Hearts would have made more sense in terms of how the music was arranged also. Like A Drug would have been an amazing opener to second half! Furthermore, Sometime Samurai, although visually very spectacular, was a complete throwaway, and the remix version of Come Into My World was a serious miss-pick - the album version would have been a much better choice.

Talking about the visually stunning, I must say, the show WAS visually stunning! Particularly the Love Boat set was amazing! - but also the Samurai set (Naughty Manga Girl) and the Cheer Squad set was very well excecuted - often being the saving grace for this part of the concert.

And now, before I start going all negative, I must add - something happened when she played the ballad version of I Believe In You. It was like a wake-up call for the audience, suddenly realizing how great she can be live. Following up with On A Night Like This was a pleaser, and from Your Disco Needs You and onwards, the crowd went crazy - and I mean, crazy. It was like a 180 degree change, from being only mildly enthusiastic, suddenly, everybody were RAVING. This was not lost on Kylie, who seemed more than a bit suprised - she was practically blown off stage by the crowds chearing after Kids (normally not a favorite of mine, but boy did it work this night) and from there, it was all good.

Show highlight from me was probably No More Rain, it was so beautiful and amazing! Once the confetti started, it was pure bliss. All in all it was a great evening, but it was very much a pitty that it took so long for the atmosphere to really kick in, and I have no doubts the setlist is faulty for that. I don't think it was lost on Kylie either.

Good to see you enjoyed yourself. :D Your 'wtf?' moments are a little different from most people's though, I think :o Most have said they loved Heart Beat Rock and Come Into My World in particular...

Well, each to their own. The good thing about Heart Beat Rock was the added horn section, which made it different from the album version, which was cool. It's still not a very good track, though, at least not in my oppinion, and the response from the audience was lukewarm to say the most. It was not horrible, but I think some other song could have been much better. As for Come Into My World, it sounded like a mess, to be honest. I didn't like the remix sound either, and I don't think most of the audience really understood what it was. I think playing the album version would have been much more recognizable to most of those in attendance.

I've read four reviews so far, two rating the concert at 3/6 and two rating it at 4/6. Don't know how reviews in other countries have been.

anyone know of a site where you can see this performance

at least its back

i like it when its a good song

i'm sure kylie did a good performance of it

:w00t: :w00t: only 35 days left :cheer: :cheer: i'm more excited about this concert a month beforehand, then i was the day before i went to see the spice girls. :D
