America will never get Kylie, i'm sorry but all the fans go on about how she needs to tour and do more promotion over there and now when she has done quite a lot they don't appear to be buying the album!

Really though, I knew all along this wouldn't do well there. Body Language missed the top 40 there and Ultimate Kylie missed the top 200 completely.

the only way she could score a hit in the US id to collaborate with Justin and Timbaland...just like Nelly & Madonna did...

look at Madonna's 'Confessions' album, it was one of her best albums ever yet she only charted one single from it at number 7 'Hung up' due to sales only without any help from airplay. Kylie will not get airplay unless she goes into that R&B Timbaland route

or maybe a duet with Chris Brown or Flo Rida with a 100% urban r&b sound...

Well it missed the Top 50, as expected. No more info now probably until tomorrow night.

Kylie is good but pure dance music doesn't do well in the States here. The only people who listen to it are gay men at the clubs (and I am gay and live in LA, so I can say that). They never play dancey music on the radio here.

 

Kylie should have picked a better first single than "All I See". I think "Wow" could have had more cross-over appeal like "Can't Get U Out Of My Head" did.

 

And why the hell did she release it with no video?

Confessions did sell around 1.5 million in the US, which is still a very respectable figure considering that type of music is not at all 'in' there.

 

And a BIG no no at the idea to collaborate with all those urban artists. I'd rather Kylie remained true to herself than do something like that just to get sales in the US. -_-

Kylie is Kylie and she doesn't not and should not work with Timbaland, that's just a terrible idea and will ruin her image!!

 

Anyway, after all, US is just a market. I would rather Kylie to focus on Asia as she has much bigger potential overthere, plus, come back to Australia for more promotion would help her singles and albums going to freefalls in the chart. -_-

every major artist want success in America. It's the biggest music market in the world. and i'm sure Kylie cares otherwise she wouldn't have bothered in doing these TV appearances...

However i think she chose the wrong strategy to promote as in the US a single should have airplay in order to succeed.

'All i see' has till now zero radio airplay plus there is zero Music Tv airplay since she did no video for it... That's why she didn't stand a chance of succeding...

People aren't gonna rush and buy an album just after watching an interview...

Radio airplay is what counts....

i adore the pop dance Kylie and i'm not saying that it's a good idea 4 her to collaborate with Timbaland..

but i'm all saying that if Kylie really wants success in America she has to go through the top R&b hip hop producers like Timbaland, Jay-Z, Kanye West, will.iam....

otherwise she will not chart there..
