As a South African who has never been to the UK I was shocked at some of the things mentioned in the article. Is the situation really that bad?

 

You get good and bad in all ages

 

Of course there is violence in youth and gang culture but I am old enough to remember mods and rockers beating the $h!t out of each other in sea fronts so teenage violence is nothing new

Well, having just heard an 11 year old girl scream at my elderly neighbour who was looking out her window ' Wot you lookin at ya Old Hag' I would have to say as a society we have truly lost the plot where our kids are concerned....
