25.BRITNEY SPEARS - ANTICIPATING: 105 Points / [5.83]

Anticipating/Slave 4 U - Dream Within A Dream Tour [2002]

This single was only released to a handful of countries, but still managed to do pretty well considering it was a top 40 hit in ever country it was released in! This song talks about a girl getting ready to go out, and she is "anticipating" her favorite song being played on the radio. This song is usually hit or miss between Britney fans, those who enjoy Britney's more bubblegum pop should enjoy this 80's inspired single.

Rubbish song! bombastic love and Cinderella were far better.

24.DON'T LET ME BE THE LAST TO KNOW: 106 Points / [5.88]

Official Music Video

This ballad that was co-written by country legend, Shania Twain wasn't exactly Britney's biggest hit. But it did open her up to an older audience, getting some airplay on adult alternative channels. But the big talk about this single was the very mature video that it produced. The video features Britney and a maled model getting pretty intimate on the beach, and many thought she was pushing the envelope more then ever. Little did they know she was about to rip the envelope in half with her future singles.

23.I LOVE ROCK N' ROLL - 111 Points / [6.16]

The cover from the icon that is Joan Jett, I will be the first to admit that it is not near as good as the original...but it still would have been a huge hit if Britney were the first to sing it. This was the fifth single off of 'Britney' and was released everywhere except for the United States. And anyone who has seen the video has to admit she looks quite AMAZING in it.

22. FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY BROKEN HEART: 114 Points / [6.32]

How underrated could this song be!? I think it is one of Britney's best songs vocal wise and it was a top 15 hit for her in the States! This song was released in America and other select countries, while 'Born to Make You Happy' was released internationally. This is probably one of VERY few Britney songs that has produced a video that hasn't caused some type of controversy!

21.OUTRAGEOUS: 116 Points / [6.42]

Fan-Made Music Video

This song never really took off because it was only partially released in the US, where it peaked at #77. The video was set to be one of Britney's best but she dislocated her on the second day of filming, so a radio release was all the label could do. The song is probably Britney's most urban inspired release, even Snoop Dogg was going to appear in the video.

20.I'M NOT A GIRL, NOT YET A WOMAN: 120 POINTS / [6.67]

Official Music Video

This was Britney's most mature single to date, and almost gave an insight into how she felt about herself. One of her most emotional singles this peaked at #2 in the UK, and was one of the lead songs that promoted her movie 'Crossroads'. This was the third single lifted from her third studio album, 'Britney'.

19.DO SOMETHIN': 122 POINTS / [6.77]

Official Music Video

This was the first song that had a video directed by Britney herself, and had a pretty decent perception from fans. The song was the second and final single lifted from her Greatest Hits collection, after 'My Prerogative', which will chart later in the countdown. This peaked at #6 in the UK, and peaked just inside the Billboard Hot 100, despite there being no planned release.

18.BOYS (CO-ED REMIX) FT. PHARREL: 129 POINTS / [7.16]

Official Music Video

The fourth single from 'Britney', and the lead single for the third Austin Powers movie sountrack, Britney stunned all when she paired up with hot producer, Pharrel for a special single release. This was Britney's first single collaboration, and it helped futher open up her fanbase to the urban crowd.
