A couple of years back Beverley Knight flew to Sweden to record the track 'Keep This Fire Burning' for her album 'Affirmation', which we all know became a single! You might not know that this track was originally recorded by Swedish pop sensation Robyn.

Last week the girls hooked up with each other at the Capital Radio Awards for Help A London Child. Bev was also snapped with UK R&B star Craig David.

Also has this interview in which she talks about Girls Aloud, David Jordan and Estelle

I wonder why she went all the way to Sweden to record 'Keep This Fire Burning'.

Its cause Robyn had it first I think

Oh, so she had to go to Sweden to get permission for it?

I'm confused, it's like saying she'd have to go to America if she wanted to record a cover of something by Christina Aguilera or something.

Yeh I think you would have to? Not sure

much prefer Beveleys version :)

While we're sort of on the subject of 'Keep This Fire Burning'. How on earth did it only peak at #16? :o It's one of those songs I knew before I was interested in her music, so to find it only peaked at #16 is shocking, I remembered the video as well.

Tbh I think #16 was quite an achievement considering the second single didn't even get top 30 :o

I suppose. Shoulda been top 10 though.

Aye it should :( but I remember it being a really tough week :o

Ah, I didn't really listen to the chart back then.
