Tough draws for the Man Utd and Liverpool. Both teams should go through though, Inter Milan are rubbish at the moment and Real Madrid are nowhere near as good as they used to be. It shouldn't matter who you play anyway... if you wanna win the whole competition you've gotta play the best teams at some stage. Can't wait to see Torres stick a hat-trick past Real Madrid though. :D

The first leg of that Real vs Liverpool could possibly be the dullest game of football in history.

I wonder what odds you'd get on all the runners-up qualifying, looking at them it doesn't look too bad!

I don't think Chelsea will get past Juve. Sissoko will tear Ballack to pieces like he did last time! Pretty confident Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal will all get through though.

Chelsea will get through I think, shocks happen like the time the dippers went to the Nou Camp and won and Scum went to Milan and won etc so can see Chelsea winning that one

Hull 1 - 4 Sunderland

That's 8 goals in 2 games now.. seriously, wtf is happening at Sunderland please?

Sounds like Keane and Ince had lost the dressing room

Keane particularly is a very abrasive character and that can no doubt affect the confidence of players, the fact that Blackburn won easily today too suggests to me that Ince had lost the dressing room

Blackburn's goals were ALL against the run of play though! And it was against Stoke! But it's the problem with the money driven premier league, you can't take risks so I suppose an experienced man had to be brought in. The amount of times Bolton won when they didn't necessarily deserve to under Allardyce was a hell of a lot and that's what made him such a good manager.

Yeah, he had. Been a few players coming out to the press and saying how calming Ricky Sbragia is to them, which can only really suggest that Roy was indeed using an iron-fist approach on the players which clearly was worsening things when their morale is rock bottom. Couple of decent wins now though (Even if the scorelines were a little flattering), and some winnable games coming up which means hopefully the good times are returning to Wearside  Plus mid-table by Christmas is exactly where we need to be if we're wanting to kick on and make something out of the season

Still no clue as to who the new manager will be, but in all honesty I think we could do a lot worse than Sbragia even if i'm not entirely convinced coaches/caretakers make good managers. He's certainly managing to stop-gap pretty well, i'll give him that

LOL, Roberto Mancini's guestbook on his official site has been inundated with comments from Sunderland fans asking him to come and be our manager! Legend

Mark Hughes surely the next manager for the chop? 1 win in 10 I think it is now, and considering the team City have that's not good enough (Not that i'm complaining, can't stand City and them losing today keeps them below us)

They were very poor against West Brom, didn't deserve even a point. Credit to that City player for scoring one of the most bizarre goals i've ever seen though

Elsewhere the Geordies are drawing at home to Spurs which is great news as it keeps them both below us

LOL won't last, Newcastle always beat us :(

They are our ultimate jinx team so today is a damage limitation exercise

LOL way things are going you should keep that current guy, you are scoring for fun atm

He's not that good, and this is only his third consecutive league match! It's not a massive achievement to write home about!

I think sacking Mark Hughes would be a bit harsh, City aren;'t even that good. They massively overachieved last season, their best player from last season (Petrov) has spent all season injured, Jo (a Pre-Hughes signing) is looking like a complete flop, Richard Dunne and Tal Ben Haim are the worst defenders in the league the season, they make Titus Bramble look world class (although tbf he is a good defender, he just makes some hilarious mistakes!) and they're starting Michael Ball and Darius Vassell!

FT Newcastle 2 - 1 Tottenham Hotspur

Last f***ing minute :manson: that Chelsea reject Irish monkey who hasn't played for about 2 years due to injury scores the bloody winner :manson: couldn't make it up

The curse continues, we are in very very serious danger of going down now
