December 21, 200816 yr On a roll? You do like to exaggerate. They've won ONE game. Yes it was 3-0 but the team they were playing have the worst away record in the league and gifted two of their goals!
December 21, 200816 yr Arsenal draw with Liverpool 1-1 Good to see referes are still paid to be utter retards
December 21, 200816 yr It was two bookable offences though... can't argue with that. Just annoyed me that the Arsenal fans just sat and booed for 25 minutes after it! Good point for Liverpool. Everyone's gonna say "oh we should have gone on and won the game" rah, rah, rah, but it was a very good point. I hate saying this... but hopefully the bitters can get 3 points tomorrow now. I just can't wait till Torres gets back. And Man City may have hunderds of millions to spend, but who is going to want to come? Not a chance David Villa will come. They'll probably end up buying Craig Bellamy.
December 22, 200816 yr I think I'm about the only person that thinks Adebayor's sending off was fair, the second booking especially! :-/
December 22, 200816 yr I definitely think it was the correct decision too. Wenger is such a moaner though, and I seriously wonder if he was watching the same game as me yesterday. :manson: How he can claim Arsenal would have won with 11 men i'll never know. :s Liverpool were all over them. It was only after the sending off that they re-grouped and actually looked like they could get all 3 points!
December 22, 200816 yr The sending off probably was a little bit harsh but I have seen the prick get away with so much cheating and bad sportsmanship at Scum that I have no sympathy for him
December 22, 200816 yr That Chelsea game was so utterly boring. The title is United's to lose I think.
December 22, 200816 yr Really? I enjoyed it myself! A game with John Terry getting sent off is always good! Cashley, Ballack and Deco getting books for really stupid things was funny too! They can't do anything just because they're Chelsea <_< I think United in the best position, Chelsea have a good squad but they're just replacements for injured players meanwhile United have a squad full of players who can change the game if brought on (the likes of Park and Fletcher are very underrated imo) and all of our games over the rest of the top five are ALL at home so we just need to not drop too many silly points and fluke as many last minute equalisers and winners as possible. :P
December 22, 200816 yr Is certainly turning out to be a weird title race. Is still way to early to tell whose going to win imo. Out of the 3 clubs that can win it realistically, Man Utd look in a good position now. But still, is alright saying they've got 2 games in hand, but they've got to win them first. Chelsea just seem to blow hot and cold at the moment. Losing Terry for 3 games will be a big loss for them now though. Hopefully they can slip up a few more times. I still believe that Liverpool will win the title this year, as having watched them play I do now actually think we can win it, but we'll just see.
December 22, 200816 yr You may haven't played well in some games but people do forget you've still only won one of them! It's still a very open race which I didn't expect as I was convinced that Chelsea would absolutely walk it this season! A big club could still go down and we may have a suprise or two for the European places as well! The top four will still be the same as usual though I think.
December 22, 200816 yr Most ironic thing for Liverpool is in the game that we played the best football in this season, we got beat. Hopefully once we get Torres back we'll prosper fully, although I do think that maybe me and a lot of other Liverpool fans are pinning too much hope on him as there's no way he'll be fit for a few games. Hmm it wouldn't suprise me if Villa nicked 4th place, but we'll see. Could be a nice little battle between Arsenal and Villa to see who gets the final Champions League spot.
December 22, 200816 yr If Villa beat Arsenal on Friday it puts them in a great position. And you never know, but they could win it. It's the second week in a row that no big four team has won and they've taken advantage picking up 6 points. Unbeaten in 6 league games now with clean sheets coming in four of those. After Arsenal they play Hull, West Brom, Sunderland, Portsmouth and Wigan...
December 23, 200816 yr Can scratch Arsenal off the list of title winners I reckon now that Fabregas is out for 4 months (rest of the season effectively) with a knee injury
December 23, 200816 yr I wouldn't be suprised at all if Aston Villa do sneak 4th now after the injury to Cesc. Villa have been playing the better football lately and they certainly have the easiest run in the next six games. Best thing that could happen of course is Arsenal play rubbish the rest of the season and Hull manage to sneak 5th, but hey. :P
December 23, 200816 yr I do not mind who makes Top 4 so long as it is not Scum Scum have massive debts and need CL football to service interest repayments on Emirates and much of their funding is based on loans on the basis of apartments overlooking the ground that they thought would sell out when thanks to the credit crunch they are 10% full ;) Scum don't make CL they are deep in $h!t financially :D Go Villa, Hull or anyone
December 23, 200816 yr It's never nice to hear about players being injured and even though I quite like Cesc and Arsenal I couldn't help raise a smile when hearing about his injury. Up the Villa! :cheer:
December 23, 200816 yr Losing Fabregas is a big blow to Arsenal, but I reckon it could be a blessing for them at the same time yknow. They NEED some experience, and more mature players, and losing Fabregas could be what spurs Wenger on to do that. Still, at this moment in time you woluld say that Villa would be favourites to get 4th, but i'm not sure whether they will do that. I have the feeling Arsenal are gonna beat them on Friday.
