I'm second and I haven't either :(

Am I correct in thinking neither of us has ever placed higher than third?

this is correct,

always the bridesmaids but never the bride

like Sash! and S Club Juniors

You haven't won though yet. Bebeh. :smoke: :cheer:

Give it time :smoke: At least I've never had a non-qualifier :kink: And by Rich's standard I've technically had just the one flop too :drama:

indeed, I don't count Little Boots as a flop as it came in the top half of the scoreboard :D

unlike Thermostatic :(

I'm aiming for a maximum of two flops for every ten contests :w00t:

that's a good aim, I've had 3 out of 8, which isn't great but when I make the top ten I do it in style :smoke:

I will scream if Mine All Mine and Smack Me don't make it into the semis of Congratulations :(

I would expect Mine All Mine to, but I don't think on the whole people remember Smack Me as fondly...

Hey, it managed to come fifth :heehee:

Yeah, you're right, Opium would be the shoo-in from that contest :smoke::kink:

it came joint 4th, but Kylienips came 4th with whatever massive UK hit they'd managed to get people to give casual points to but apparently got more 12's..., although I thought we counted 'most countries voted for' as opposed to 'most 12's' :smoke:

so yeah 5th for Untouched I suppose

I can't believe Opium only came 9th :( I gave it my 12  you did an Anna Vissi there!

We counted most countries voted for from the 7th contest, so one too late for you :( I can't believe Opium wasn't closer to the top 5 either, it was immense!

damn, oh well...I don't even know if I would have been 4th, I can't be bothered to go back and look how many countries voted for Untouched and how many for Jem...

but seeing as nobody would have heard of Untouched and everyone's heard of Jem, Evanescence, Lily Allen and Beverley Knight, I felt very proud of that 5th place :D

I should order the most deserving winners of each contest :o Linda Kiraly FTW for BJSCVII

wouldn't your most deserving winners just be the country you gave your 12 points too :heehee:

I thought Linda Kraly was very good, far better than Tata Young which I just found dated sounding, and didn't quite get the hype over that one

Marie Picasso has renewed my faith in Sangria

My biggest flops have been Enya, the Revelations and my second Mike Oldfield... oh and Kate Bush. But I've had the Dixie Chicks, Mike Oldfield (again), Dima Bilan and Fragma to make up for their lousy efforts. ^_^
My biggest flop was Portishead, it flop in the semis.

Not necessarily :P I only gave one point (something I still regret now) to Linda Kiraly :( No, the most deserving IMO would be the one that succeeded against all odds - so, for example, Lisa Miskovsky in the second contest, Moonlight Shadow or Se Lazam Sebe in the first etc. etc. ^_^
