actually this is alright tho the production could have been stepped up abit - it sounds too much like a mid 90s approximation of 1970s disco-soul (like a Lisa Stansfield record i guess) rather than being total discomagic - needs something into the mix- like a can or two of 'shark' - tho i like the bit about 'Caffine' - (reminds me slightly a bit of Sailor's Glass of Champaign off the M&S adverts wonder if Bryan Ferry would do a glam-disco version of this - that would be intersting) - thats quite similar to the 'I was baked Alaska burning deep inside' line from Say It (you can find this on one of cheap Dutch Disky 90s compilations with the romeo and juliet one - love conqueres all) - tho that Disky version of say it - is more disco digga digga digga

- on the other hand shortlist magazine's sam delaney wrote that "This lot were the one of the best white soul bands Britain ever produced. This new slice of slick disco is an outstanding return to form'

it's not a bad single - but it's miles away from the ABC I know and love.
