Robbie Williams Rejoins Take That!

01 April 2008

http://www.take40.com/news/14253/Robbie-Wi...joins-Take-That!

In news that has shocked the music industry this morning, Robbie Williams has reunited with his former Take That bandmates!

After years of swearing he would never go back, Take That's Gary, Mark, Jason and Howard have welcomed Robbie back for good.

Robbie has scratched plans to record a new solo record and will be working with Take That on their next album, which is slated for release early next year.

:o Somehow I believe this is bollocks! Utter twaddle! Unless I hear it from the man himself, this little black duck shall not believe!

Robbie Williams booked 'fore' golfer's wedding – Tabloid Hell

Singer to make live comeback at Colin Montgomerie's nuptials

Apr 1, 2008

Robbie Williams will make his live comeback at golfer Colin Montgomerie's wedding, according to the Daily Mirror.

Four hundred guests, including Prince Andrew and Hugh Grant, will be at the special show, which will be held on the banks of Loch Lomond on April 19.

DJ Chris Evans will compere the gig.

Montgomerie told the newspaper: "I'm not allowed to say anything. This will be an extraordinary event."

Monty and Robbie have been friends since meeting at a celebrity golf tournament in 2005.

(Shall I go set up camp outside the Hotel? )

Oh so my invite shall be arriving this week?

More utter tripe!

So Robbie is turning into the Wedding Singer then?

Hope he knows the words to 'Wonderful Tonight' and 'Lady in Red' :puke2: ......

Robbie Williams is a tee boy

ROBBIE WILLIAMS will prise himself off his Hollywood sofa today to caddy for a top Brit golfer.

He will be on the bag of pal NICK DOUGHERTY at the curtain-raising par three competition of the US Masters in Augusta, Georgia.

Rob is a sportaholic. He missed playing football so much after moving to LA he set up his own team — called LA Vale as a tribute to his favourite side Port Vale.

But since losing interest in soccer he’s become a golf fanatic.

I’m told: “Rob is glued to the TV when golf’s on. He thought it would be a giggle to offer to caddy for Nick.”

I wonder about his role. Carrying the snacks, perhaps?

David Archuleta Sings 'Angels' by Robbie Williams

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/7..._by_robbie.html

8 finalists left in 'The Greatest Talent Show on Earth', so time to give the contestants some more freedom in their choice of songs. This week's theme was 'Inspiration'. Anybody who's ever listened to David Archuleta speak knew this one would be right up his sleeve. His pre-performance interview was a good prelude to what was about to come. David is inspired by many things, and choosing Robbie Williams' Angels was probably the least surprising song of the evening.

There's a risk in choosing very popular songs. Everybody knows the original and no matter how good the performance is, it'll still be compared to it, especially when it happens to be one of the most famous pop-songs of all times, made famous by one of the best pop vocalists of all times. David has shown what he can do with his voice many times, so if anybody could pull this one off, it would most definitely be him. But did he pull it off?

Even while writing this, I got torn between answering yes and no all the time. Yes, he gave an absolutely flawless performance and topped it off with a small pitch show. He looked so natural behind his piano that it's hard to imagine him being anywhere but on a stage. Singing is in his nature, it's what he's supposed to do, it's his destiny. He slipped a little bit in a few performances but nailed this one, and made sure there's no doubt he's still the number one favorite, especially now other favorites are slipping in their performances. So why am I not convinced?

Basically, for exactly the same reason. He looks natural on stage as if he's never been anywhere else. So much so, that it almost becomes boring. It doesn't look like I'm watching AI, the contest, anymore. It looks like I'm watching DA perform on a chart show. And although his performance itself might be great ,it's not surprising or exciting, it doesn't make me want to hear more of him. I know he'll be on the show again next week, preforming another great song and show the world he's a great kid with an amazing voice. But would I buy his album or pay to see him play? I'm afraid not. And in the end, that might be why he won't win this competition after all...

I do like David...hs is Ok ..it is just I did not like the version that he did of Angels...as far as Robbie & the USA I guess Robbie could not be bothered about it & never has it seems to me...I think he just prefers to live there .... ...it only seems to bother the press in the UK who never stop going on about it.....Di*****ds... :P :P :P :P

I didn't think he did terrible...much better than Jessica Simpson!!

I don't think he's right for AI, but he's definately a talented kid. I hope David Cook wins as well, but I'm afraid David Archuletta will win. :( I realize I just kind of contradicted myself there...oh well. :P

I watch it because of the Irish connection but I am not too blown away by any of them.......those shows are all the same & get a bit boring after a while.....I watch bits of it but do not mind too much if I miss a bit here & there..... :)
