I don't think a Great Britian team would work. Most of the positions would be filled with English players bar the goalkeeping jersey most likely.

Given and Duff don't count, they're Irish. And who would pick Duff ovr Joe Cole anyway? Probably the most consistant player for England over the last two years and becoming more of a key player for Chelsea all the time below a has-been who spends two thirds of the season on the treatment table?!

Hutton is spot on. I think England will struggle if they continue to use Wes Brown, Micah Richards and Jolean Lescott as full-backs, you need a natural there...

got to have the record breaking David Healy up front.

EDIT: and there's quite a battle going on here as it is. England seem to be the only one who want a Team GB as the other nations are claiming they're worried they'll all be amalgamated despite reassurances from FIFA they won't, whereas England are the only nation to oppose the 'Four Nations' with Scotland, Wales, N Ireland, and Rep Ireland all looking to start that tournament in Feb/May 2011 because it is claimed they want 'higher profile' opponents for friendlies. England are starting to become the Newcastle of International football :heehee:
