#23... It's the last midweek, and she fell another three places. I think about #30 on Sunday then.
I don't think she'll fall much further, her falls have been pretty small. Maybe #27 on Sunday.
I'll be happy if she's around #30, it's the sort of position I was expecting and whilst it isn't really that good it could have been SO much worse.
Most independent artists without the support of a major label will find hard or even impossible to chart anyway. Sophie is lucky that she can still chart with this album.
33 is shocking! I think she's gauranteed to get dropped, this album wont sell over 15,000 ! It most likely would have sold 3,000! 10,000 might be too much to ask aswell

She IS already dropped (or she left, same imo).

She launced this album in the UK on her own label EBGB (Ellis-Bextor Great Britain).

Frankly, its done better than I thought, especially after everything that went on.
33's shocking in a good way. If I'm honest, I wasn't even expecting top 75!
#33 is AMAZING. I didn't think it'd even chart, I nearly passed out when I saw it Top 20 in the midweeks.

But charting usually has little to do with an album's success, while contrastingly everything to do with chart longevity/run.

As mentioned album sales are currently low - i think its been said she sell around only 3K from her album chart position.Given the chart runs/overall sales of previous Sophie albums and interest/memory of her outside gay culture has never been so relatively low now (eg even the lead single couldn't even manage a whole week in the iTunes top 300!!! (yes airplay was dire (although she did do some tv promo) but some degree of public interest would get more airplay from stations that seem to have less fascist playlist agenda) A few 1000 signed physical singles(?) bought by "passionate" fans but no real, significant, fresh interest.

I have no idea, but from informed fans it seems just a few K total worldwide sales of an album :o is good news for an independent label/self financed act?

It sold 6,143 :( she still has some fans at least.

According to a post at UKMIX, the album dropped from #33 to #124 and suffered a 76.6 percent drop in sales, which makes the two-week track:

Week 1 - #33 - 6,143 copies

Week 2 - #124 - 1,137 copies
