imho an awful chart, lacking in strength, its full of bland uninspiring music... theres only eigth wonder and at a push kylie (<_<) that id rate.

do you agree?

I like:

1 Pet Shop Boys - Heart

2 Climie Fisher - Love Changes (Everything)

4 Fleetwood Mac - Everywhere

8 S-Express - Theme From S-Express

13 Eighth Wonder - I'm Not Scared

19 Debbie Gibson - Only In My Dreams - A great pop tune, watch this excellent TOTP live faultless vocal performance to see why she was superior to all the other pop princesses from the late 1980s.

21 Danny Wilson - Mary's Prayer

22 A-ha - Stay On These Roads

25 Iron Maiden - Can I Play With Madness - This song now used in 2008 as part of ITV's Formula 1's Motor Racing coverage is otherwise well known for featuring the last appearance of Monty Python founder Graham Chapman months before he died of cancer of the spine.

28 Eurythmics - I Need A Man

32 George Michael - One More Try

36 The Jesus & Mary Chain - Sidewalking - So the Scottish brothers may have heavily ripped off the Velvet Underground on this track, but it is still a great track.

40 Deacon Blue - When Will You (Make My Telephone Ring)

Not a great chart!

Wouldn't necessarily listen to all those above (although I love S'Express and, for some reason, Hazell Dean) now but I would listen to this one...

36 The Jesus & Mary Chain - Sidewalking

7 Hazell Dean - Who's Leaving Who

8 S-Express - Theme From S-Express

10 Bananarama - I Want You Back

13 Eighth Wonder - I'm Not Scared

I found 4 tracks that I liked! Yes, this is a pretty shoddy chart!

The Eighth Wonder single (and video) were awesome.

Great singles from George Michael, Bananarama, S=Express, Danny Wilson, Eurythmics and Jesus and Mary Chain.

Very very poor chart - Pop really went $h!te after being so good in the early 80s - Live Aid was responsible for soooo much!

8 S-Express - Theme From S-Express - Great dance track

10 Bananarama - I Want You Back - Not the Nanas' best but...

13 Eighth Wonder - I'm Not Scared - I do like this the only hit from Patsy Kensit

22 A-ha - Stay On These Roads - Do like a bit of A-ha

25 Iron Maiden Can I Play With Madness - Loved Maiden in the 80s but this would be one of the last I liked

28 Eurythmics - I Need A Man - Classic single from Eurythmics that deserved so much more especially when you see the cack above it.

34 AC/DC - That's The Way I Wanna Rock 'N' Roll - OK song from Oz rockers

35 All About Eve - Every Angel - Julianne Regan

36 The Jesus & Mary Chain - Sidewalking - Superb single one of my favourite singles ever, right up there with Upside Down.

11 Sinitta - Cross My Broken Heart

Two awesome tracks

23 Pat & Mick - Let's All Chant

Love a bit of T'pau, bridge of spies was a great album

27 Will Downing - A Love Supreme

28 Eurythmics - I Need A Man

29 Brenda Russell - Piano In The Dark

Beautiful ballad.

30 Kylie Minogue - I Should Be So Lucky

The song that launched a career that's still going strong...over here anyway.

I think the locomotion was the first single in australia.

31 Patrick Swayze featuring Wendy Fraser - She's Like The Wind
