Congrats to Goodvibes on his win... thanks to everyone else who has taken part this week, low scoring all round this week.

Rules:

 

 

1 Design one cover per week, you have the option to change your cover as many times as you want as long it meets the closing deadline. And please edit your original cover.

 

2 The Cover Design should always be your own creation, and no one else's. All forms of cheating will result in removal from the Leaderboard.

 

3 New members are welcome to join anytime and any member of Buzzjack can vote not just the cover designers, in the voting thread once set up at the end of the week. You cannot vote for your own covers.

 

4 A winner will be announced every four months and the Leaderboard will then be set back to zero.

 

5 The Cover Voting Thread will be posted after all covers are submitted, I will give an extension if needed at my own discretion. The voting thread will close on every Sunday at 8:00pm (UK time), the winning cover will be revealed after the votes have been counted.

 

6 I will send one and only one reminder each Sunday morning to Cover Designers that have not submitted votes during the voting period.

 

7 If you are not playing any more, please let me know if you wish your name to be removed from the Leaderboard.

 

8 Please let me know your change of Display Name, sometimes its hard to keep track of who's who

I decided from now on I'm probably going to artsy sort of covers. This summer I'm doing a 6 week program in Graphic Design and Rhode Island School of Design so I figure if I want to pursue that in life I need to start practicing doing more arts-y kinda covers.

The cover may be a bit boring, but that's how I see their covers, plain and simple...

I prefer the first one, it looks sharper, the image blends into the colour with the second ;)

And Angelic Shine, I really love the idea of the cover and it looks great, my only problem is that it looks like Britney's head is floating in mid air. xD

Angelic, same thing, there is something wrong about her head lolo.

But i love the idea and the pic you've chosen. Such a fierce shoot B)

I made it so it looked like her head was out of the boxes but her neck and shoulders blended into the background so yeah it does look like she's just a floating head. Plus her skin is orange :lol: Thanks for the comments :D

I just wondered...where does everyone get their fonts from? I seem to remember Mart!n saying that he got his from 1001freefonts.com or something like that and I tried to get them from there but it wanted me to download this WinZip program which cost loads of money...can you get fonts for free somehow?

Or am I just stingy? :lol:

Oh and sorry for the EXTRA long post :lol:

I look at those sites for the font for mine....don't want to ruin a brillaint design with a crappy font!

I usually manage to make an already bad cover design even worse with crappy fonts :lol:
