Posted April 13, 200817 yr This year, we have another clash of the titans, (some of you may remember the whole "Love Sensation" saga) two label giants battled it out for chart supremacy with their own respective Loleatta Holloway reworkings. All Around The World Vs Gusto. Well. in the words of Lonnie Gordon, "its happening all over again" lol :naughty: This time it's the Kandi Vs Loaded. First up..... Hed Kandi have decided to completely change the vocal courtesy of the gorgeous Therese Grankvist, from Stonebridge "Put Em High", "Take Me Away" and her own songs "Feelin Me" and "Time". The Mac Project have enlisted Therese's vocal talents and added a whole brand spankin new vocal that really works. It goes "don't give me just another love....i don't need just another love...." Click here for a snippet Mac Project feat Therese - Another Love (Club mix) Rating 9/10     Out 19th May on Hed Kandi. Next up... Loaded are back with the "supreme team" after their huge success of "Love On My Mind", Freemasons and Amanda are back together at last!!!! The Freemasons boys add their magic touch along with Amanda Wilson's infallible vocals which despite a few awesome ad-libs stays true to the original formula, because it works!!! I think that's what gives this one that extra special edge, the production is a lot crisper and edgier than the dated-sounding Mac Project. Referring to the age-old adage, "if it ain't broke don't try and fix it!!" unless you're the Freemasons, then it's a case of "do what the bloody hell you like with it!!!!" :D This one's out a week earlier giving it the early bird factor but you never know if Kandi decide to pull theirs forward, could get messy!!!! :P It goes "you can't get enough..... you ain't got no... baby..." April 13, 200817 yr obviously Loaded are winning since their version has been playlisted on Radio 1, Kiss, Galaxy and Capital.
April 13, 200817 yr J-Jay!! Where the EFF have you been?? Anyway, yes, another bloody battle between! Will have to pull you up though, Gusto is getting re-issued on AATW! (or unless it has since become a joint project with Loaded, in which case I do apologise!). The Mac project version is a bit, well, rubbish really. The Freemasons come up trumbs with their usual titanic-sized production and it's almost certainly Top 10 destined!. The Mac project won't get a look in!
April 14, 200817 yr The Freemasons version is better...though i think Mac Project one will do the best.
May 1, 200817 yr brilliant, love both versions but Freemasons one is better should be another successful 2008 reworking! top 10 I hope
May 3, 200817 yr Am I the only person who thinks the Freemasons version (which is the version I've seen on TV and everywhere, haven't seen/heard the Mac Project version once) is really average? I don't get the big attraction with at at all tbh.
May 26, 200817 yr This is an okay if completely pointless re-jig. The original is absolutely fantastic, why have they added such a stupid vocal over the top of this new version?
May 29, 200817 yr Author This is an okay if completely pointless re-jig. The original is absolutely fantastic, why have they added such a stupid vocal over the top of this new version? They havent added the vocal, the vocal is lifted from the original "Mole Hole Dirty remix" with Sonique on vocals. Can i just say, Amanda Wilson has an amazing voice!!!! PS. Looks like they pulled the plug on Mac Project having a full release, maybe rightly so as Gusto hardly dented the charts. Shame. :(
