Century makes way after two weeks at the summit for the absolute genius single that is I Will Possess Your Heart. I have never gone for Death Cab for Cutie in a big way before but the way this builds and builds then drops into such a catchy pop song full of longing is exquisite. There is a surprise at #7 as Kings of Leon return with a re-entry for On Call. This is after listening to a live recording for most of this week. Other new entries outside the Top 10 come from The Aliens (#11), Foals (#15), Clinic (#16), Pixies (#18) and LCD Soundsystem (#19).

Unluckiest song this week has to be Umbrella by the Manic Street Preachers which tumbles straight out of the chart from #5! There are just too many good songs around at the moment!
