Lady GaGa has criticised X Factor winner Alexandra Burke.

 

The singer, whose single 'Just Dance' will reportedly knock Burke's 'Hallelujah' from the number one spot this week, claimed that her ascension in the music business is more valid than that of a reality show winner.

 

"If you win a TV show and you have a hit record, you sort of have a false understanding of what it means to earn success," she told The Sun.

 

"The shows are set up for a winner, for someone to win. Whereas with someone like me, who writes my own songs, you have to set yourself up to win."

 

Well said IMO.

Having listened to the album via Spotify I think it is the best pop album I've listened to since Britney Spears Blackout album. It is stocked full of future hit singles.

At the moment it's only #69 on iTunes, and Poker Face isn't in the Top 120. :(

I *hope* Poker Face takes off over here. I'm sure it will once JD has died. I hope it follows the trend of it's WW success. It's already starting to make waves in the US.

 

Count me in as another one who thinks this album is a great pop record. I hope Paparazzi gets a release.

It could grow on you. :P If I'm honest when I first heard it I thought it was a poor clone of 'Just Dance', but I was soon hooked. :wub:

Thing is, it did for me. I liked Just Dance but I didn't love it, and then I listened to Poker Face and I've listened to it about 20 times in the last 3 days :dance: Can't wait to get the album (can't afford it right now...)

By the way, The Fame is #2 on iTunes whilst Poker Face is #34.

#4 in midweeks, not my #1 prediction then. :(

Hmm, #4 is ok i guess. Actually, it's rather good considering the likes of Katy Perry opened at lower posistions though they were out at a stronger point in the year.

#4 is brilliant, be happy. I was just hoping this would get a top 10 debut really, as it's obviously going to sell big over time.
