April 19, 200817 yr 1.America - A horse with no name - this is the first record I ever bought (with my own money) Love it. 2.Bachman Turner Overdrive - You ain't seen nothin yet - happy memories of 70's secondary school I went to - all the blokes loved this song. 5.Dr Hook - Sylvia's Mother - this was so good! What happened with their later stuff????? 7.Allman Brothers - Jessica - just love it. 8.Eagles - Hotel California - love it 10.Steely Dan - Ricky don't lose that number - brilliant song - I love that deep recurring piano segment. I like quite a bit of their stuff though, Haitian Divorce is a particular favourite. 11.Joe Walsh - Life's been good for me - the only song I really remember of his (I had this album but god knows what happened to it) Norma
April 20, 200817 yr lol.. a good idea bri.... but i think youve probably unwittingly produced the definitive album there  im not sure theres much in the way of alternatives. love 25 or 6 to 4, :)
April 20, 200817 yr A Great compilation, although I can't stand any of Dr Hook's records. Well perhaps save "The Cover of the Rolling Stone" which was re-recorded for the UK market as "The Cover Of the Radio Times".
April 20, 200817 yr Some great songs Brian. I love "America", i have quite a few of their songs in my music files. I also love Boston, Eagles andr Hook and Cheap Trick  :yahoo:
April 20, 200817 yr Great choices, Brian! There's not one I don't like. I particularly like Horse With No Name, More Than A Feeling and Hotel California. And I like Dr Hook too
April 25, 200817 yr Great selection there Brian, I have all of those in my collection apart from Dr Hook and have albums from 9 of those artists Best BTO song though for me was Taking Care Of Business, way better song than You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet, Roll On Down The Highway was better too Shame on you not including Creedence Clearwater Revival though :o I like CCR/John Fogerty more than any of that list bar the Eagles
