Ok so I only really got into Mariah since Emancipation came out. Around that time I bought 'Butterfly' as well which I love. Today I went right back and bought from HMV:

Am looking forward to listening to them :D!! What is everyone's opinions of these albums? What are your favourite tracks etc. I'm just curious to know, since I'm only just hearing them and it's always nice to hear other people's opinions too. Will be completing my collection with the rest of her other albums during the next few months although I can't find Charmbraclet, Rainbow, Emotions or Glitter in the shops so probably have to order them online.

I became a fan around the time of TEOM but never went and got anything that came out prior to that, and of the hits I only really knew Heartbreaker, Fantasy and Honey...the other day I found a site with links for everyone one of Mimi's albums (PM if you need help on that front :teresa:) so I listened to the Rainbow album today and quite liked it. On first impressions the standouts were Heartbreaker, obviously, as well as How Much, X-Girlfriend, Crybaby and Thank God I Found You. :P Some of the others seemed a tad bland but they may well grow.

 

And now I'm about to listen to Charmbracelet for the first time! :D

Ehhh... Charmy's an exercise... it get's better after awhile but never really amazing... for me TTR and remix, The One, Yours, Subtle Invi. Lullaby, and You Had Your Chance are worth it... but Rainbow's okay... Crybaby, Can't Take That Away :heart: Petals & Rainbow, and After Tonight(probably the best of My All's incessant spawns) and TGIFY and The Makin It Last remix... and a top 5 mariah song of all time: BLISS! People hate this song, but I think it's probably one of the most creative she's ever done...

I think E=MC2 is the best album from Mariah since Music Box :dance: Every track on Music Box is great, i'm more into her big ballads then her RnB/HipHop stuff. I'm thinking of buying her first albums and emotions, it depends on the cost :P

 

I own some of the albums inbetween (i don't own rainbow,glitter and charmbracelet) Emancipation was OK, but a bit bland i thought. Daydream was OK too though :P
