I agree with Robin-there wont be a 4th track, it would be strange to go back to TU after the tour-the tour kinda signifies the end of that era

 

if they did release another track it would be Close To Love-personally I think they should release they should take a risk and release Control Of The Knife, who doesnt love the trumpets?!? a-ma-zin

Spicefunk, i do not have to justify myself to you. There are no plans for a 4th single because there isnt time. I dont know GA but i do know that. Not educated guess, i KNOW.

 

I wouldn't ask you to justify yourself to me... but you are posting on a forum which lots of people read. Why don't you start a topic called "No Fourth Single" or something then? Its big news that all GA fans would want to know and they may not notice buried in this thread. I suspect if you do they'll be many people posting asking where this info came from. So lets shorthand it - how do you know this with such certainty?

All i can say is, there was a 4th single planned after the tour but this has had to be scrapped for reasons i cannot say (nothing bad) And before anyone asks, the 4th single song had not been chosen so i cant say what it was. It was between two though.

It seems you can't say much! Why is that? Well, since you can't provide any proof of the validity of this information i guess we'll just need to agree to disagree on this. You think you Know, i think you don't. :P

 

Least we can agree GA are great and while i hope there's a 4th single (always has been in past i might add), I will wait and see what happens

But surely all the summer shows etc would be great publicity for a 4th single? Personally I'm worried if it'd go top 10 anyway - they're doing great releasing tracks fairly atypical for them (Call The Shots and French). If they went back to the oumph attitude pop of Girl Overboard and the like I think they'd struggle (even though I prefer that style lol).

 

Black Jacks is perhaps the one I'd be most comfortable with - something about the opening lines just makes me sing at top of my voice ha ha. And I think it's more edgy for them too.

I agree lots of bands use tours to promote an upcoming single! I think there will always be worries about top 10 while they maintain their run but its no reason not to release a single. All the others from this album have went top 10 and sales and number of weeks on the chart have also been very encouraging! After the tour they will have time to record a video (if not before). Most of the other things involved in releasing the single will be handled by their staff/management anyway (e.g. arranging mixing of a radio edit, release date) so they really don't need a lot of extra time if they don't have it/want to spend it.

 

Of course they derserve a break if they want though, but they seem very driven so wouldn't be surprised if they plough on!

 

A "live" singe would be something nice, a live video from the O2 would be ace and would raise their performing profile!

The number of 'hopeful' fans that thought the tour would boost Headlines back up along with the GH were well disappointed ^_^

 

I'm not really a fan of live videos either to be honest. I prefer some imagination, and with the album tracks left, there's plenty of room for creativity.

Anyway, enough of that. Aside from anything else, the album is at 16 with the single at 23 and the tour a stones throw away, there is no need for a new single.

Well they probably don't have time for a 4th single. What with Cheryl & Will, then the tour, then I'd guess they'd have a break then begin work on a new album? :)

It's just VERY unusual for them not to go with a 4th single, and I don't think it makes any sense really, because the album is selling well at the minute; why waste it's potential by leaving the singles at just three? A 4th could help take TU's sales to half a million or more, whereas as it is, it'll probably stall on about 450,000...tours really don't help album sales after all.

Id like to see a 4th single yes but im a little torn if wherever they should do one. Yes it could boost the album sales but unless the competition is weak their record of top 10's could be shattered.
