Elin is VERY Infernal. Make of that what you will :kink:

Elin Lanto - it's like a slightly darker version of Discotheqeue! agree with the Infernal comparison from Tyron. Don't think it would come as high as 4th but it would certainly do better than that Elin ballad that was sent. Definite qualifier and top 15 in the final. Definite potential for points from Rontvia. 8.5/10

 

Katerine - TMLAL - nice melody, I don't think it sounds that dated to be honest :o it still has that modern electro beat and I really like the chorus. Definitely on course for Rontvian points. Low top ten or high top 20 finish in the final. 8.5/10

 

Katerine - SYM - not bad at all, really like the electro beat! Although, the rest of the song seems a bit underwhelming considering...low points in a weak contest, none in a strong one. Not as good as the other one. DNQ or 21-29 finish in the final.7.5/10

 

Kim/Linda - great pop song, and would have been the winner had XXII been held 4 or 5 weeks ago...as it is, I got bored of it quickly and don't have any wish to listen to it again in a hurry. No points or low points. Mid-low top ten finish in the final, definite qualifier. 9/10 though :kink:

 

I do like all four of these it has to be said, as far as BJSC potential goes, Kim/Linda would still do the best I reckon...but it's not a particularly inspired entry I wouldn't have said as a lot of people already know it and have got bored of it. My favourites, and on course for anything from 1-8 points from FSR Rontvia depending on contest quality overall, are Treat Me Like A Lady and Love Made Me Stupid. I wouldn't send Shut Your Mouth.

TMLAL is very good actually, and it's not all that dated really...

Realistically, out of the 45-50 participants, how many really would have listened to it so much it would majorly affect their points? It wouldnt be that many relatively speaking surely?

 

And I hate how it's so uninspired :(

 

Because I did hear it elsewhere, not having a clue that it would take off so much on all the blogs and on Buzzjack and loads of people would want to send it. I genuinely just thought it sounded like a winner before I was aware of all the hype. Same goes for Release Me...I'll never be fully satisfied with the win since I didn't actually introduce it to alot of people, despite finding it completely of my own accord.

I was after Kim/Linda but I'm bored with it now. If there are better tracks over it, it probably get very slim points from me, or nothing.

 

Katherine TMLAL would be the better option.

Kim/Linda is the sequel to Silly Boy in terms of a hugely hyped track from Holland that would do well (briefly) in BJSC before everyone moves onto something else and forgets it exists

 

I still think it would be an easy top ten, as like you say, there are still tons of people that won't have heard it...but all of the indie voters will hate it and a lot (but not all) of the pop voters already know it...

Both of the Katerine songs are amazing :wub: Slight preference for Shut Your Moth. But TMLAL is good too.

 

I'm getting a little bored of Kimda now (sorry Linda, it's Kim's fault :snif:) and Elin is, well, not as good as Discotheque...

Elin Lanto – Love Made Me Stupid 70/100 I was very intrigued at the beginning because I thought that was great. I somehow lost interest as the song progressed, though. Still a nice song.

Katerine – Treat Me Like A Lady 45/100 Ok but very boring.

Katerine – Shut Your Mouth 15/100 Oh god, this is awful. :lol:

Kim Lian & Linda Bengtzing – Not That Kind Of Girl 75/100 Nice song. Basically the same as Elin Lanto but a bit better. :)

 

Right, I'm very very sorry for being "unimaginative" but I really honestly did consider this before I knew everybody was talking about it. I'd kick myself for not sending it, and I can send my other possibilities in future months. For this song it really is now or never. It may not win, but I think it's the safest "hit" out of the lot, and I really don't want my hit:flop ratio to become 1:5 which it will after this contest if I flop again!

 

So at the risk of going "cheap" I'm going with my gut and sending Kim and Linda to BJSC XXII

 

Right...haven't had an awful lot of inspiration for the upcoming contest, so it's looking like one of these two for BJSC XXIII (that's the one we're on now right?)

Secret Love is amazing(ly cheap) :P but seeing as this is a cheap contest, why not send her - it's basically Release Me part 2 so gets a huge thumbs up and high pointage no doubt from me :wub:
