April 27, 200817 yr I remember them - they were from Holland In 1975 Mississippi was the European holiday song that year. Quite right it was #1 in the UK - their second and final UK hit was Smile peaking at #24. They had a few more hits in their home country such as Georgie #1 (this was also a big hit in mainland Europe) - My Broken Souveniers #2 - Smile #2 - I'll Be Your Woman #12 - If You Ever Come To Amsterdam #21 - Same Old Song #9 My faves were Mississippi and Georgie Edited April 27, 200817 yr by Euro Music
April 28, 200817 yr i only know 'mississippi', thought it was quite twee... cashing in on the 'country' fad that crept into pop in the mid 70's. i guess it was a decent enough pop song if you like that sort of thing.
April 28, 200817 yr I agree the 'Mississippi' sounds very twee and dated, although it is a well constructed pop tune.

April 29, 200817 yr OMG I love Pussycat. Loved Mississippi the first time I heard it. Have a CD called Good For Gold which has all the tracks you put links to. Thought everyone here was too young to remember them. Edited April 29, 200817 yr by Crazy Chris
