It's konked out Saturday/Sunday to Tuesday/Wednesday nights for the past 2 weeks so if it stops again this evening we'll know it's on purpose rather than a glitch. What purpose I don't know? :unsure: Perhaps their computer needs a break! :lol:

Only thing I can think of is that they're doing some sort of maintenance to the site and that's scheduled for the weekends.

 

But I think we might be ok this week - there's been at least 2 updates world-wide today and I'm sure the last 2 Saturday's there were none at all.

It's so repetitive, bland and has no actual chorus. It grates on me so much.

 

It's a shame really because ''Call The Shots'' was amazing.

I can sort of see it, although 'Can't Speak French' sort of grew on me... it was a terrible choice of single and one of the worst tracks on Tangled Up.

 

Infact IMO none of the singles from this era have been to their usual standard, all the best tracks have been left on the album and it saddens me. :(

Well CTS was their second biggest selling song yet and their only no1 radio airplay and CSF has shifted a lot of albums and also gave them another top 5 radio airplay. They have also both had some of the best GA chart runs.

CTS was not a bad single

CSF was a terrible single. There is so much better on the album and they just went with one of the weaker songs on there. I quite like the song, but they could have done potentially much better with the likes of GO, COTK etc.

I disagree on the first part, but can't give an opinion on the other half.

 

I think "Sexy! No No No..." and "Call The Shots" are by far the two best singles Girls Aloud have released since their debut. "Can't Speak French" is another story, it's alright, but I find that it gets boring fast. I still think it's better than some of their singles, it's not the worst but it's far from their best.

 

I haven't heard the album yet so I don't know if the best has been left on the album, but I'm not sure the first two singles can be beaen for me.

The other tracks are more edgy and would not have done as well, we've had edginess with SNNN already.

Maybe that's what they need - edginess - that's the reason I think SNNN is one of their best songs, it's not what you'd expect them to release, it's quite different to their usual sound. CSF seems like a safe single to keep their string of top 10 songs going, which it did, but it is their joint lowest peak for a single, even though it's got some staying power. I wonder if a more edgy song like SNNN would have helped them get a better peak?
