GIRLS ALOUD fans in this area will be able to catch their Tangled Up tour, Larger than Live, on the big screen at Cheshire Oaks later this month.

The band has joined forces with Vue Entertainment to broadcast the event live to 50 of its cinemas across the country, direct from London’s O2 Arena, on saturday, may 17.

Using the latest high-definition digital technology and 5:1 Dolby Surround Sound, fans will get front row seats for the live show feeling the full excitement of the thrilling atmosphere as if they were at the arena itself.

After five years together, four albums and a greatest hits CD, Girls Aloud have entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the girl group with the most consecutive top 10 hits.

Their 2008 24-date Tangled Up tour of the UK started in Belfast on May 3.

OH MY GOODNESS. This just shows how big they've become, esp. touring-wise.

I don't get why people would want to go? It seems really popular already but why would you go and sit in a cinema to watch a concert? They emphasise the full-screen, sound experience etc but you wouldn't be able to get up and sing or dance so I definitely wouldn't be interested.

Well, basicaly, it's like watching a live DVD at home. Would you dance in your lounge watching Christina or Madonna concert? And basically, when you watch Natasha Bedingfield performing on American Idol, are you dancing and clapping all way thtough? Nah, you just watch and enjoy the performance.

The show is told to be quite impressive so I'm sure it will look big in cinemas! I would go if I was not already at the O2 :P

Don't know if I'd want to see on cinema screen first, plus the nearest Vue is miles away  (and I can't find anywhere to buy tickets on their website either)

So I'll wait nicely to Newcastle, and hope they film that one for the DVD

Hmm, I guess, Bertie, but the difference is that it's a full-screen thing with the whole sight and sound experience...Bah, I dno. I still want concert tickets. *Thinks*
Im going twice but am still going to Parrs Wood to watch this a few days earlier, it will be AMAZING!
Does anyone know if it will be shown at the Manchester Lowry as it is a Vue venue?
I know! I've just been looking on Ebay and there are some quite decent tickets where the bidding ends tomorrow. Hmmm. :kink:

Surely some tickets go real cheap now as once the concert is over, they are worthless so people will want to get rid.

You just have to go though, its going to be amazing. Definately their best yet.
