Posted May 27, 200619 yr The song itself is awsome, but the video is like no other promo video i've seen. When i first saw it a few years ago it put chills down my spine. The video is for Metallica's "One" and was the first video they did. The song is based on the book "Johnny Got His Gun" which is about a soldier in the first world war who has his face blown off. He can't hear, he can't speak, he can't see, he can't smell, he can't feel. In other words he is a dead person but still thinking. He doesn't know whether he's in a coma alive or whether he is dead. June 12, 200619 yr just a correction to your commen about the grammy thing.. They didnt get a grammy for it, they where beaten by Jethro Tull.. And that was compleatly undeserved, and all because the ppl deciding didnt know what metal was.. Ill try to find the youtube clip of it

June 14, 200619 yr when are they releasing a new album,,stanger was a really terrible album and the tours are like greatest hits tours now,,its time for newmaterial and i hope they get back to there best,, i didnt enjoy the latest tour near as much as the others as it was like a repeat of the previous tour
June 14, 200619 yr Author New album is out early 2007. They've been playing a new song on the tour they're doing now and it sounds like a cross between Load and Black album. When i saw them at Donnington they were amazing, performing the whole of Master of Puppets with 100% accuracy.

August 23, 200618 yr No, it's just vile. Well, in case you hadn't noticed, this is a HEAVY METAL Forum, so get used to seeing it..... So, this whole 'long hair is vile' thing, what is it, some sort of hang-up you have..? Does your dislike of long hair apply to women as well, or just blokes....?
August 23, 200618 yr Blokes. My hair is just like meh medium length I suppose. So, now you're admitting you're a hypocrite... It's okay for women to have long hair, but not guys..... That's total double standards mate... Nowt wrong with long hair so long as it's kept well, nourished and looked after; and it's far from being the case that only women look after their hair and guys dont.... I've got long hair going down my back and I can assure you it aint sweaty, greasy or stinky. I shower every day and wash my hair every 3 days with a good shampoo and conditioner.... I use spray-on conditioner as well... Anyway, back to the point at hand, are you really saying that you define whether you like a band on what kind of hair style they have....?
August 23, 200618 yr URGH.. it's not fluffy is it? Long fluffy hair offends me. And no i don't, but most metal bands have **** hair and I hate 95% of metal bands so therefore most of my bands dont have long hair becuase they are super.
August 23, 200618 yr Author well they looked alot better with long hair, Hetfeild should drop the beard he has atm, it makes him look old as it is grey :(
