Hmm. :o Everyone seems to like Cicada...I might dig through their album and see if there's anything just as good/if not better than Metropolis...

I could always try bluffing ... lying ....

but whilst Bats For Lashes is clearly a great track, it is a bit old and was her most successful song to date, so it needs to disappear for 18 months before someone digs it up to get a Top 10 result IMHO. But out of the rest, you'd be mad if you don't think Cicada is the most BJSC friendly option.

I just found another track by Cicada on youtube, which is quite good

Falling Rockets

Mind you I do prefer Metropolis, just listening to other material of theirs, I must admit, I'm hooked.

I went through their album and Metropolis this is the standout. ;o Hmm.

I'm also considering Canvas by Imogen Heap.

Hollaaaaa.

Gotta give props to Jake though as he sent this to me. ;3

she sounds so much like the 90's girlband Hepburn vocally! not a bad song at all, not good enough for Mdice though, I looked through her MySpace last week and thought she was a bit too 'try hard cool/indie kid' for my liking :heehee:

Oh LOL, I swear you're all over the latest leaks and hype? :o Even I knew of Daisy Dares You and I haven't been paying much attention lately :heehee: Although tbf I'm more pop while I assume you're still more electrooo...

GOOD SONG ANYWAY.

oh you've confirmed it :o should do well, low top ten I guess (read; 7th)

Not as much as I used to be. ;(

How did you though? :o It's not like she's all over the net...I've only seen her on one blog I follow.

Me likeee, she's like an individual that follows the crowd. Had it for a while, should score nicely from Angelicland.

she was a Popjustice song of the day a while back, been on at least a few blogs I've seen...I've stumbled across her about five or six times in the last few weeks/months...

impressive talent for 15/16 years old but I wonder if the record label will try to turn her into a new teen idol a la Pixie? I guess so, as there's no cool 'indie teenagers' for British teens to relate to at the moment, Pixie, The Saturdays, Taylor Swift, Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato etc...are all very much pop

Oh, I haven't followed Popjustice in ages. D: Maybe I should lawlz. Still, I've been impressed from what I've seen of her. Anyone who lists Karen O as their first influence on Myspace (among tons of other great artists) is okay by me.
some of their songs of the day have left a lot to be desired recently but I still find the odd gem on there. I do like his sense of humour (when he bothers to write decent articles), but it doesn't seems to be as good as it used to be, often a post will consist of a youtube video and 'AMAZING.' now :/ DDY definitely comes across as somebody with a lot of potential, so hopefully she will get the right direction from her record company, i.e. not Little Boots type direction

Yeah, he really needs to find a synonym for 'amazing', he uses it so often it's basically been diluted...he can still make me laugh on occasion, like the time when he used JLS' colour-coding to find out their gay fetishes LOL. His anniversary posts for GCC are fairly amusing as well ;o

Love the song, considered using it last contest too but glad to see someone else entering it :w00t:

the fact that anything either GA/Sugas produce is 'amazing' no matter how awful it is rather offends me too :heehee: the praise that Girls received last year was unfortgivable!

the GCC thing was funny at the start but it's getting a bit boring now, although the rabbit silhouette was a nice touch

Popjustice is starting to get quite predictable. Before clicking on Song Of The Day history thing, I knew that Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart would be one. It is helpful and does have some superb discoveries from time to time.

bjscxx?

ooh.

maybezzz.

I know it's a bit 2008 for some people in the competition, but it seems like only the indie crowd will really know about it.

This is 2008 indeed. :kink:
