Rachel opens tour with lacklustre performance in Zagorasta

 

 

Once the subject of excitement and optimism on the behalf of the Kopeček people, confident of their chances of scoring their first victory at the upcoming 6th BuzzJack Song Contest in Siobah, Quotosibb; Rachel's audience left distinctly disappointed and apprehensive last night after a painfully off-key performance, which was branded by leading musical pundit Perečki Heltana as "Just $h!t", and led to her odds of winning the upcoming contest drifting from 4/1 to 12/1 at leading Kopeček bookmakers Čeknet!. Rachel has refused to comment on her performance, although her manager was quoted as promising refunds to all those who attended the concert. Industry rumblings have even gone as far as suggesting that the Kopeček internal selection committee are even considering sending 2nd placed Gwen Stefani instead of Rachel should this performance not turn out to be a one-off.

Kopecekfestivalen! reformatted for 8th contest

 

After last month's grand prix to decide the 7th entry for Kopecka, this month the Kopecek national final committee have announced that they will be simplifying this month's selection - although they have hinted that this may just be a one-off. Kopecek NFC representative Linda Sangria was quoted as saying "This month we will only have two entrants, who will go head-to-head in a public and internal vote - however, the KNFC have decided to keep their options open for the future, so this may not be permanent - indeed, were it not for the sheer quality of the two entrants, we would probably just have kept last month's format."

In a further twist, it was revealed that the loser of this month's contest will almost certainly represent Kopecka in the 10th contest in August.
