The single is still nothing like decided yet; Kylie wants LAD, Parlo want The One; a Speakerphone/Boombox mash-up is being considered too. The sun ran a story today claiming The One has been chosen, but this isn't correct - nothing has been confirmed yet according to insiders. ^_^
May 21, 200817 yr Like Silver, Like A Drug was a standout track but the magic had worn off. However, after watching the LAD live on youtube, I fell in love with the track all over again. :wub: Thus, either one would be fine. But please, don't release Speakerphone/boombox mash up. :angry:

May 21, 200817 yr Author I'm rooting for Kylie! :P at this stage I'd say it's important she gets her way, so she's actually wanting to go out and promote when the single gets released in the UK at the same time as the tour.

May 21, 200817 yr It won't be released in July whatever it is, no way. I think it should be release slap bang in the middle of her UK tour. That makes it mid to end July. I don't think thats an unreasonable time. I read something on her official message board that this single would be download only. I don't think it's true, if that happened i think i would die :o :cry: Thinking about it Kylie is a huge physical seller and not very popular on downloads, so release it download only would be a complete waste of time. May 21, 200817 yr Author No way will any single be download-only; if only on downloads, In My Arms would barely have broken the Top 40! And it will be released in July. Any later a release would be pointless; she wouldn't be able to promote and wouldn't have the press promo provided by the tour being in the UK.

May 22, 200817 yr Author Some fans on SayHey have said that Australia no longer view her as much of an icon, because she's never there - in fact she's only performed once on TV from the Fever era to now - once! I don't know how much of what the poster was saying was just crazy loondom and whether or not the Oz public really are in-different to Kylie now, but Dannii seems to get a lot more media attention there atm, which is certainly a first. :heehee: Anyway the Speakerphone/Boombox mash-up is apparently just Speakerphone with a few tidbits from Boombox mashed in. One consistent rumour about the 4th single seems to be that it'll be an AA-side, with some saying now it'll be 'The One' with 'Ruffle My Feathers'...

If not would like to see a 5th single of the other one if the 4th goes well. Its just so uncommon now! And it doesn't need to ruin her top 10 run- yes it is possible that downloads of one song would chart separately but not if they're released as a download e-bundle- then all sales are credited to the AA entry (unlike the leona lewis disaster where no bundle was available so fans had no choice but to download the tracks separately resulting in a $h!t position for the less radio friendly (non charity) song) In terms of any B-sides i think it'll include live recordings, maybe remixes and hopefully an X song from the cutting room floor as i know lots of fans want that, and from what i hear many left off the album are better than some which were left on. :blink:
