What Planet are the people who stock the singles for Woolies on?

Keane are a surefire Top3 Hit.

Ronan will do well to make the Top5. His lead track (Lost For Words) from his last studio album (Turn It On) only made #9, so I expect something similar.

P!nk is way too low - that song is surely a Top5 Hit if not a contender to outsell Keane for #1.

Tony Christie - Didn't Woolies stock Merry Xmas Everybody inside the Top15 (about #12) yet it charted at #49. I will be aghast if his horrific World Cup cash in makes the Top20.

Oakenfold - There is real momentum with that single, it has a great video with Brittany Murphy looking like a Gwen Stefani impersonator on the set of the Sugababes' Freak Like Me video set. I can see that being higher than #10.

LeAnn Rimes, Loleatta Holloway, Michael Jackson & Young Stanley are way to high.

And where the hell is Morrissey's new single "The Youngest Was The Most Loved" his fans are surely going to turn that into a Top10 hit.

keane wont be number 1 coz people who like keane or any other band like them, such as franz ferdinand, they are a bit different, they won all those brit awards a couple of years ago and their new set of songs from there second album didnt even get top 3, pink has had a number 1 before though so she could get to to number 1

Definitely think Pink will be top3 :cheer: I would have said 1 but I think more people will opt for the album which is more important. From the sound of the first two releases it sounds as if Pink is back on form after her underperforming second album.

Has Ronan's download release been held back till this week as that could help his chart position.

Hello there! Well, it's another week which calls for another chart of mistakes from woolies.

SINGLES

1. Ronan Keating feat. Kate Rusby

no no no. dont want this boring drivel at number one!!! does this mean its open season for snippers shoting granies who might purchase this at woolies this week?

LeAnn Rimes, Loleatta Holloway, Michael Jackson & Young Stanley are way to high.

dont think Loleatta Holloway is too high as that was high in music weeks pre-release dance chart. and this might be also the same record that was in the chart last week by kurd and maverick (something like that)

Argh I don't want to see LeAnn flop. :arrr:

well after reading the review on teletext, deserves to flop

Woolies never sold merry xmas everybody. The last Tony Christie single they sold was avenues and alleyways.

Lost for words underperformed as it wasn't a typical Ronan sound, so his fans kinda abandoned him. They returned for his next single 'She believes in me' which was back to his sound and got to number two.

All over again is a very safe single for him, so I can't see it missing the top 5 at all!

I think Crazy will stay at the top. When the Wets song was deleted in '94 sales actually increased that week due to the publicity. There will still be plenty of copies in the shops plus downloads.

Ach come on, woolies, asda and all the rest base their chart on what they've bought the most copies of (their own pre-sales chart if you will).

Ronan Keating is aimed squarely at housewives, ergo he'll be number one in a shop dominated by them.
