They may have been cheesy, but I think Dollar were under-rated. They had some great pop tunes - particulary the Trevor Horn produced ones - Hand Held In Black And White, Mirror Mirror, Give Me Back My Heart and Videotheque. Great stuff!

Dollar were formed when David and Therese broke away from 70s vocal group Guys & Dolls - remember There's A Whole Lot Of Loving #2 in 1975.

Guys & Dolls had 6 hits. The group also featured Bruce Forsyth's daughter Julie

Videotheque, was a great song, but in reality they were as much musical fluff as Bucks Fizz especially in comparison to Abba.

However, sadly for David Van Day & Thereza Bazar (& Sonia), I will forever remember them for their hilariously ridiculous behaviour on the car crash of a TV programme that was Reborn: In The USA.

I've just watched this again, and this is Alan Partridge-esque painfully funny to watch....

I didn't actually see this show.... but who on earth voted to keep, eek, Sonia in over Dollar?!?! Jeeesuschristalmighty.... Surely proof enough that Joe Public should never, ever be trusted to vote or have any say whatsoever in talent shows.

never liked them.... i was in my early 20's and they were aimed at younger teens, besides, they were pretty c**p tbh... kiddy pop.
