Posted May 18, 200817 yr Ive noticed recently that there has been a lot of topics going off topic and a lot of posts that are just pointles that involve just a few words, for example - Do you agree ? yes ? do you ? yes? Im please you agree ? Im pleaseed you agree ? etc etc etc I know this is just an example but there is no need for it guys. If people are going to post replies at least make it relevant. Sorry if you think im ott but i get bored going through pages and pages of just random posts that have no relevance to the topic or go anywhere.
May 18, 200817 yr Agreed. I too don't mean it to sound like a dig at anyone, because it really isn't... but it's getting to the point where I lose the motivation to read most topics. :lol: :(
May 18, 200817 yr well my answer in short is sometimes i lose the motivation to try and keep the mods happy but one thing i do know is the members have broke their back sides posting this wek trying our best to get this forum to hold a 2nd week at number 1 which we have never manged yet.

You make it sound like it's me and Dannyboy verus you which it isn't. We're all good loyal Minogue fans at the end of the day right? We're not victimising anyone or saying to stop posting, I appreciate that you're working hard to try and help the forum gain a second week in pole position on top of the league tables, I guess what we're ultimately saying is some of the posts are beginning to lack substance and seem as though they're being posted for the sake of posting. May 18, 200817 yr I understand what is being said totally and i know its not than no one isnt a loyal fan, my point is imagine you are REAL work all week, you break your backside working and at the end of the week the faults are pointed out but no thank you for trying your best, well thats how i feel when i read that topic i know no one is having a dig or anything like that but i just had to say what i was thinking a lot of new members here have posted and some are new to the game, i admit im probably the worst person for going off topic(not intentionally) when the forum has been as busy as it has been for the the last 2 weeks or so its easy to get carried away as when the forum is on a roll i like to keep it on the roll, i hope that makes sense as honest to god i dont want a big falling out as its a great forum and everyone does get along
May 18, 200817 yr Author I have already posted my responce to you by pm but again I hav to stress its not about sides. We have to keep topics full of quality not quantity. If that means we fall down the forum charts then so be it. Its not eveything. Plus its down to views not posts.
May 18, 200817 yr Author I would like to stress that im not trying to downplay all the hard work that some posters make and its very much appreciated. But id rather us be number 1 based on quality not just on loads of posts that are normally not needed. If people wanted to chat about random stuff, we have a topic for that.
May 19, 200817 yr I agree, often a topic is started and then by the evening it has 5 pages of replies from like 2 posters! :heehee: I know we're all keen to discuss Kylie but if we want to have random ramblings then that's what either MSN, the shoutbox, or the Inc thread in here is for. :P Obviously it's great we've all got so much to say, but we don't need to be the #1 forum. That's just a number.
