hope they like Championship football :kink:

Do you really think they'll go down?

Tbh I have no idea who'll go down with Stoke right now as they're the only ones I can say will definitely go down right now.

obvious what Ramos is doing...

they're gonna be like a Liverpool reserve team with all these Spaniards that they're after lol...

I think Ramos is just clearing out the deadwood really. He's got the right idea, but their squad still isn't exactly filled to the bones with good players. Ramos obviously thinks Spurs can push on and challange the Top 4, but I don't think it'll be this season.

I don't think he'll ever get in the top 4

AND modric will be a major flop.

He's a good player, but all he thinks about is the £ sign.

There was an interview in 4-4-2 the other week, and he said he was holding out for a move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid, but then Spurs came in and he was unsure about them at first. But then Kranjar (sp?) told him how much money you earn in the Premier League and his mind was quickly swayed.

He's too lightweight

much like GDS

hmmmmmmm Gianfranco Zola was a major flop wasn't he

As was Ossie Ardiles as was Juninho

He was offered more by Newcastle than he was by us

Jol got us within 1 lasagne of the top 4 and Ramos is a much better manager than Jol

Jol got us 2 lots of 5th place

Last season doesn't count

You clearly under estimate Modric, you could not have watched Euro 2008 very well as you will see Modric really got stuck in with tackles and tracking back as well as his attacking play, he may not have Arnie type muscle but he can more than hold his own in the tackle

I predict he will be in the Premiership team of the season next year

Oh dear! Did anyone see Bouma's nasty injury? :o They'll want Barry to stay even more now especially as he came on for him!

1-0 to Villa with 15 minutes to go anyway.

Also Giggs, Rooney, Cleverley and Campbell helped Man United trash Kaizer Chiefs 4-0! :cheer: We're following the money and playing Portsmouth tomorrow in Nigeria as well though. -_-

You'll do alright this year, but I don't think you'll be anywhere near the Top 4. Keane is off to Liverpool, and Berbatov is all set to go to Man Utd. Now I know in the press you're being linked to Villa, Arshavin etc. etc. yep that's all very good, and they're good players, but you can't expect them all to gel together in the space of a season, no matter how good they are. Even last season Spurs were so inconsistent, and I have a feeling it'll be much of the same this year tbh. With every foreign star you buy too, there's always that risk that they'll flop too in the Premier League.

At this moment in time, the Top 4 are a mile away from all of the other 16 Premier League clubs imo.

Top 2 are untouchable atm, but I don't think the gulf between Arsenal / Liverpool and us is that big

Arsenal will badly miss Hleb, he was one of their big creative forces and much depends on Adebayor's attitude after he was denied his dream move

I would say us and Liverpool are quite evenly matched on paper too with the exception of Torres and of course Gerrard, Torres was amazing last season but if he has a not quite as good season in 2008 or gets injured or something then I really don't think the gulf to us is that big

1. Gomes

2. Hutton

3. Bale

4. King

5. Woodgate

6. Jenas

7. Dos Santos

8. Modric

9. Berbatov / Replacement

10. Keane / Replacement

11. Lennon / Bentley (very close to signing)

That is a decent line up if they are all fit and if you match that up on paper with Liverpool and Arsenal the gulf ain't that big mate

You know and I know that OWF will be tapping up Modric within 1 year or absolute max 2

I've got to agree with Tim (I think I've agreed with him more times in the last week than in the past six months put together ) on this subject.

Let's put it this way Modric is in my provisional Fantasy Football team.

There is no doubt Anderson (along with Nani) have the potential to become very good if not world class players, but will they be as good together as Cristiano Ronaldo (surely he won't have the brassneck to still play at the "Theatre of Dreams" after what he said over the summer) & Ryan Giggs last season?

So far IMHO all the Big 4 (or 3 + Liverpool as it is now becoming known) all seem to have got weaker squads than last season. But there is still time to poach sign some star players before the start of the season.

1 assist and no goal, brilliant eh!

ahahahhahahahaha

it's why Anderson was wanted by nearly every team in Europe

Modric WOULDN'T have gone to Tottenham if anyone decent wanted him

How is paying £25m for one player 'poaching'?

Mate, Anderson's 20, better, Brazilian, and amazing.

Gerrard's his dog

the fact you have Jenas in your team shows you have no ambition, whatsoever.
