Posted May 29, 200619 yr TMF have just played Gary Barlows love wont wait as part of their number one weekend thingy. probably one of the worst songs ever released and probably bought by loads of fans who never listened to the record before buying it. looking at the book it says that this was written by madonna!!! so i wonder is this the worst number one song by people who should know better than to do such c**p? (based on the point that take that and madonna have loads of hits) are is there other worse number ones by people having a very bad off day?? (so of course you cant say the crazy frog!!! but you might say westlife   )
May 29, 200619 yr Did you know that Madonna wrote Love Wont Wait for Cliff Richard but he turned it down. My nomination would be Ja Rule ft R.Kelly & Ashanti - Wonderful. It was only #1 in Nov2004 but I seem to have erased it from my memory.
May 29, 200619 yr Author Did you know that Madonna wrote Love Wont Wait for Cliff Richard but he turned it down. it just says it was penned by madonna, gave gary his 10th number one and was in a chart where the top 3 was all new
May 29, 200619 yr Author My nomination would be Ja Rule ft R.Kelly & Ashanti - Wonderful. It was only #1 in Nov2004 but I seem to have erased it from my memory. wasnt that the lowest number one before elvis and orson?
May 29, 200619 yr wasnt that the lowest number one before elvis and orson? Yes I think it was. Another really poor #1 by a so-so decent artist is Daniel Bedingfield - Never Gonna Leave Your Side (Aug 2003).
May 29, 200619 yr Pretty much everything Westlife have done, bought by adoring teenage girls who need to be banned from buying records.
May 29, 200619 yr Pretty much everything Westlife have done, bought by adoring teenage girls who need to be banned from buying records. Or adoring Greek-cypriot boys
May 29, 200619 yr "Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter" - Iron Maiden... Just truly cringeworthy, they clearly just weren't even trying when they wrote that utter howler..... Dunno how the same band who gave us classics like "Phantom of the Opera", "Number of the Beast" and "Run To The Hills" could possibly just lose it like that....
May 29, 200619 yr How about "I'll Be Missing You" by Puff Daddy. That song itself made me stop listening to hip-hop forever.
May 29, 200619 yr Going way back to the 1980s..... The worst #1 by a major artist has to be Stevie Wonder's mawkish anthem "I Just Called To Say I Love You". To think it came from the same person who gave us Superstition; I Wish; Living For The City; Higher Ground; Master Blaster; Sir Duke; Boogie On Reggae Woman; Lately; He's Misstra Know It All, etc....
May 29, 200619 yr In that case, if you talking about the 80s, you can add Lionel Richie with 'Hello' god I hated that song.
May 29, 200619 yr I actually quite liked that Ja Rule and Ashanti song  I can't think of what my worst would be right now though.
May 29, 200619 yr Rolf Harris,Two Little Boys. If you are going that far, I say Clive Dunn- Grandad  or even St Winifred's School Choir - There's no on quite like Grandma
May 29, 200619 yr Rolf Harris,Two Little Boys. My mum had that in her record collection, I listened to it when I was younger :P
May 29, 200619 yr Everything by Jennifer Lopez, Slagonce, Destiny's Child, & Nelly Next comes everything by Pestlife, Busted, Mc$h!te, Greasy Andre, Blazin' Squad. Edited May 29, 200619 yr by Euro Music
May 29, 200619 yr Thing is - none of them should "know better"...particularly Jennifer Lopez. She'll put her name, voice and atrocious "acting" skills to anything if it means she can get paid millions and continue her diva-like ways. But remember she's still Jenny from the block.....
