Is it because I'm in a funny mood where my usual music quality taste has been melted by the onslaught of Eurovision, but does this Turkish rock entry sound better than over 80% of annoying US Frat/Emo Rocking acts of the same genre?

It really was. US Emo/Rawwwwwwwwwk acts are all dreadful.

I rather like this Portugese song, their best entry I've ever seen!

I liked Poland, Turkey and Armenia but the fave for me was prob Iceland. Fantastic vocals and catchy tune.

Portugal = Probably the best vocal performance of the night so far.

 

If she does well then we have got to bribe/press gang Alison Moyet to represent the UK next year.

Latvia are brilliantly cheesy, like the theme tune to a dodgy kids show about pirates. vocals are dire though
