Frank Lampard has revealed that a move to Barcelona would be a 'dream'.

The Chelsea star is currently tied down to a long-term deal at Stamford Bridge and the English champions are ready to offer him fresh terms following their successful defence of The Premiership title.

However, with Lampard's partner hailing from Catalunya - a move to Barcelona has always been mooted as possible option for the 27-year-old.

Having spent the weekend in Spain, Lampard admitted that a move to Camp Nou would be something he considered in the future.

"It would be a dream to come to Barca," Lampard told El Mundo Deportivo.

"But Chelsea has offered me a renewal, and I am very proud of that and it shows they have confidence in me.

"In addition the team is being reinforced and will be even more competitive and will be able to aspire to everything."

 I thought Lampard was always going to be commited to Chelsea, from what he said. Seems a really strange thing to say to the media as the Barca fans will pick up ob this and Laporata will be pressured into getting him.......just like Beckham

He knows Chelsea can sign anyone. Their midfield is too crowded and may want to be starting every game like the last 5 or so seasons. With a midfield consisting of him, Makelele, Essien, SWP, Cole, Robben, Duff, Geremi and now Ballack he might not play as much...

Thats what I think he was hinting at but SWP and Gudjohnsen will probably leave in the summer but TBH I see Essien ben put on the bench in favour of Ballack.
If Barca were going to make a tempting offer I would guess Lampard would be wanting around £100,000 a week and Chelsea would probably demand about £40M for him, I can't see the switch happening yet but in a few seasons time there is a good possibility.
