Well as long as this 1974 album is better than the truely awful B-side "1974" i'll be happy.

I quite like 1974

Here is the next installment from 'The Mole' (again taken from the TRWS site)

ok - so, i'm not here to blatantly tell lies etc or post for the sake of it.

I've heard the tracks from someone who appears on the album on tracks The Actor and Rudebox. These are kind of duets - not in a Kylie and Robbie kind of way. The title of the album, i was told today may have changed to Rudebox but this always happens and until an official statement is made, no one will know. I don't know the producers of each of the tracks i've heard so can't place names with titles - if Rudebox is the lead single i'm very surprised as I think there are stronger tracks than that. Robbie's voice on Lovelight is brilliant - it's a high vocal but not in the same way Tripping is high - it's much better. I'll try to keep you all informed.

Hmmm. Curiouser and Curiouser said Alice....

The single will be sent to radio in late July and the album should be out on Oct 2, as you can see, but this information has to be confirmed, even if it seems very likely.

I'd like to add that it's not clear if Robbie will use hiw own name for this dance project or something else.

Anothe single from IC was supposed to be released, but it doesn't look very likely if Rudebox is gonna be out in early Sept...

I've just found 3 different titles for this new album :P

This is according to Lifelite who does the new release schedule :)

From PopJustice:

Apparantly it's taken from the album 1974 which'll be out on Sept 18 and includes collaborations with PSBs, Manu Chou, William Orbit, Mark Ronson and Lily Allen!

WILLIAMS' BONGO BONANZA

Contact Music

ROBBIE WILLIAMS is determined to give French star MANU CHAO more exposure in the UK, so he is covering his song BONGO BONG on his upcoming album. Williams is a big fan of Chao, formerly of the French punk band MANO NEGRA, and believes he has the magic to make the track a hit in Britain. An insider says, "He's doing a cover of Bongo Bong on his new dance album. "It was massive everywhere else but never really did it over here."

Bongo Bong?

Has anyone heard this song? It says it was 'massive' everywhere else.

Maybe we can get a link to Manu Whatsit singing it?

The lyrics to Bongo Bong. Oh Lordy.....

Artist: Manu Chao Lyrics

Song: Bongo Bong Lyrics

Mama was queen of the mambo

Papa was king of the Congo

Deep down in the jungle

I started bangin' my first bongo

Every monkey'd like to be

In my place instead of me

Cause I'm the king of bongo, baby

I'm the king of bongo bong

I went to the big town

Where there is a lot of sound

From the jungle to the city

Looking for a bigger crown

So I play my boogie

For the people of big city

But they don't go crazy

When I'm bangin' in my boogie

I'm the "king of the bongo, king of the bongo bong"

Hear me when I come

King of the bongo, king of the bongo bong

They say that I'm a clown

Making too much dirty sound

They say there is no place for little monkey in this town

Nobody'd like to be in my place instead of me

Cause nobody go crazy when I'm bangin' on my boogie

I'm the king of the bongo, king of the bongo bong

Hear me when I come

"King of the bongo, king of the bongo bong"

Bangin' on my bongo all that swing belongs to me

I'm so happy there's nobody in my place instead of me

I'm a king without a crown hanging loose in a big town

But I'm the king of bongo baby I'm the king of bongo bong

King of the bongo, king of the bongo bong

Hear me when I come, baby, king of the bongo, king of the bongo bong...
