God, how excellent is this album?

"Fast and exciting / My passion is frighting / Now let me put some more Vocab in your I.V. / Here take this Vicatin / Like it and love it

/ And confidence has no budget / So pay me no mind / I don't walk like I talk it cause I'm running I don't do it cause I done it / And I'm in the emergency punnet / I've done it; I've lost another one..."

Gahh Dr. Carter is such a genius song. What a concept and perfectly executed.

This is what all rap albums SHOULD be. Clever, well executed, creative, conceptual...

"I see your boyfriend hatin' like a city cop."

I still think he's $h!te despite the acclaim. I'm no rap fan but I know a good rap album or artist when I hear one, just like I can count the amount of Bjork songs I like on a fingerless hand but that doesn't stop me knowing and recognising she's a great and innovative artists who just isn't for me.

This... it's just dreadful!

Can you give a reason why he's so bad though? You've made it clear you think he's bad, but you haven't given one solid statement as to exactly why...

Have you even heard the album?

I don't like the Lollipop original but I ADORE the remix with Kanye for some reason :/

If the album is good I may download just to see what it's like.

I agree. :o The remix of Lollipop is AMAZING. It's just, overall, a much stronger song. I especially like the last verse.

And the album is very good. :o You should try it.

When did he get so good, srsly? |:

I remember like three years ago I hated him, but "Tha Carter III" is pretty woah <3

Also, since when [and why] did every single person start to randomly love him? I never would have put him down as the type to sell 950K+ in one week

I'm so confused D:

[Though it doesn't beat the amazing-ness of Epik High's "Pieces, Part One" - best hip hop album ~and overall~ of 2008 for realz <3]

And Britney's isn't? o.O I mean, I love both Britney and Lil' Wayne, but if you're gonna complain about something with one artist surely you shoud apply it to all the artists you listen to.

Rap really isn't about vocal ability anyway, really? So I don't see the big deal. Excellent song.

Well Britney's voice is obviously sounding like a machine whilst this just sounds like the robot effect on a music software I use from time to time..and rap is all about vocal ability otherwise what on earth would it be about?

Voical ability like on how well you sing, rap is all about rhyme and flow. And if you're voice is edited with a vocoder, that doesn't change that.

Its kinda of ironic. The statement of Hip Hop has decline considerably. I just remember the Golden Age in 1996 where there was sooo much good music to choose from. Now we are blessed with Lil Wayne, who is very talented but unfortunately he has no need to display such talent b/c the industry is soooo watered down with garbage....SO garbage in Garage out.....The song has a great hook and beat....oh well thats where Hip Hop has fallen...
