Posted June 5, 200817 yr Obviously It Helps A Lot, it helped 'All i see' reach the top 50. so hopefully your requests for 'The One' will help it to get embraced by US Radio and give her the boost she needs to make a comeback over there... I know 'The one' is not her best track but it is very radio friendly so it might have a big shot, Here's the link Start Voting Now Vote In The Stations Listed In This Post
June 5, 200817 yr I'm trying to decide if I'm bothered what X does in the U.S now, and I'm not sure I am at all.
June 5, 200817 yr Author I'm trying to decide if I'm bothered what X does in the U.S now, and I'm not sure I am at all. at least try to vote a few times, it will only takes 2 minutes of your time... airplay support in US has a domino-like effect, if 'The one' gets airplayed on 1 or 2 stations, others will start picking it up and playing it. June 5, 200817 yr I don't think I will bother. I mean she didn't do successful with 'X' and 'All I See', so I doubt she will release anything else over there.
June 5, 200817 yr I will request, but I will request "2 Hearts" as its by far the best song from the X era. It has also been a huge success here in Brazil - and as music here is awfully like music in the States, I think its the most likely song from X to have US success...

It has also been a huge success here in Brazil - and as music here is awfully like music in the States, I think its the most likely song from X to have US success... I doubt it. I mean it did do well in quite a few countries, but many people on the forum are saying that they hate '2 Hearts'.
June 5, 200817 yr It's pointless really, so I don't think I'll bother...Kylie has no interest in the US, and them none in her.
June 5, 200817 yr CGYOMH proved that Kylie *can* have US success, so long as she is original, does good promo, and releases a strong single. All I See was unoriginal, bland, and a very weak first single; and Mims' rap made the song worse instead of better. Other single releases have failed for either not being good single choices / bad promo . 2 Hearts is very different from anything out in US atm, the "Woos" are great, the song is just...different. And the video is great. It starts off slow , most people don't like it at first...but i have sent the video to like 20 friends of mine, even like heavy metal peeps, and some really poppy people, and nearly everyone likes the song by the end of the video. So, I will keep on requesting,...and I think it would be good if you guys would join in. Kylie evidently wants to make it in US, so much so she has tried to break it for years...but she hasn't had success because she has released mostly crappy songs over there, or not done enough promo...All I see had good promo but was a c**p song...2 Hearts should do better. All I See was a pretty embarassing flop , obviously, and flopping never looks good on any artist's curriculum. But I bet if it had made top 10 she would be over the moon saying how she loves New York and american food and watches Oprah and letterman and whatever...lol!
June 6, 200817 yr She only got success with that because there was loads of promotion, with a lot of airplay, and it done great worldwide as well. :P
June 7, 200817 yr Author come on guys keep requesting 'The One' and not the awful '2 hearts'.... Edited June 7, 200817 yr by Big Mistake
June 8, 200817 yr Author Yeah, '2 Hearts' would not get on any charts even if we request. it flopped everywhere except in Australia where u need to sell 800 copies to reach number 1.
June 8, 200817 yr Author It didn't really flop in the UK. It peaked at #4 and sold over 128,000. but by Kylie's standards and considering it was her comeback single after a 3 year hiatus. it's considered as a huge flop.
June 8, 200817 yr Yes, even though it was her comeback single, with all the competition that week, #4 is great, not a flop.
June 8, 200817 yr in this day and age to have a single go top 5 is a real winner it is by no means a flop it lasted around 13 weeks in the uk did it not?
June 8, 200817 yr I can't see mainstream radio picking up 'the one', the only place i could see it having success would be the dance charts and clubs. I really wish they would send promos and at least try and target that part of the market as i know kylie's had quite a few dance #1's over here.
June 8, 200817 yr but by Kylie's standards and considering it was her comeback single after a 3 year hiatus. it's considered as a huge flop. No, that's rubbish. Until 'Wow', it was her biggest selling single since the Fever days...
June 9, 200817 yr But this won't really help. Just because we are requesting it, doesn't mean it will become a single...
June 10, 200817 yr Author But this won't really help. Just because we are requesting it, doesn't mean it will become a single... but it will help it get some airplay at least....
