Owen just needs to keep playing games ;) He looked unfit.

A very good England performance today - but I've just switched to Radio5 Live and Alan Green, Terry Butcher & Graham Taylor's David Beckham bashing when he was clearly the Man-of-the-Match tonight is starting to get really annoying.

the only concern i have is who should be used as the holding Midfielder.

 

Carragher didn't really deliever when he was placed as defensive midfield.

Good result for England.

 

Carragher was extremley good in his holding role and did what a holding midfielder should do, which was more than said for Hargreaves who was absolute c**p, and the pundits got it exactly right on why Sven plays him so much IMO.

 

Owen looked unfit though but Hungary were playing extremley deep so Owen didn't have much room to roam about. Crouch scored a great goal which had Old Trafford on there feet.

 

I've seen Gerrard and Lampard play better games but Hungary were playing a defensive game so neither really shone.

 

On the plus side J.Cole was very good. Beckham's passing was top notch and A.Cole completed 90 mins.

Gerrard, Cole and Beckham were all superb. Crouch scored a great goal, hopefull he'll do well in the World Cup and will prove all the idiots who think he's c**p wrong - He's a GOOD player!

Everyone who says they hate Crouch is not an England supporter IMO. I don't like Hargreaves but if Scen plays him I don't start making a big deal of it like this guy who make a website called nocrouchforengland.

He's an absolute idiot, saying that there are better stikers. Yes there are but none of them offer the same threat that Crouch does.

Which games? As far as I can remember he's hardly been used and been a threat in most of them when he's came on. He shouldn't start but he should be used as a sub EVERY game!

Alright he isn't your average striker and he doesn't score the most goals in the world but he's a good team player and we don't know what happens in the dressing room, for all we know he could be the life and sole of England and keeps spirtits high when England lose, and you don't judge a book by its cover.

 

Its better to have a varied range of strikers as Defoe and Bent have both the same qualities, where as Crouch and Walcott offer height and pace.
