June 11, 200817 yr He obviously is a complete gent though, we only see about half an hour of a whole week. Even though he was pretty c**p to Lucinda last week she said exactly the same thing on You're Fired and had nothing but praise for him! There's obviously something about him they're not showing, itjust can't make 'good TV'.
June 11, 200817 yr Haha yeah I can imagine her telling some dirty jokes too :kink: I do remember when she was a bit mean to Simon in the boardroom, when she was lik "you were sweating and it was offputting" But that was nothing compared to the vile Lee and how mean he was to Sara when she got back to the house after surviving in the boardroom. And then what made me even more annoyed is when tonight, Jenny C was praising him about how gentlemanly he was! :puke2: But I think the whole thing is - what so many other people have pointed out - the editing. Most of the 'firees' for want of a better word, have said how lovely Lee was and that they thought he'd give most as the apprentice - including Lucinda (and he was horrible to her). I think he was edited in a bad light ... I think he showed some frailties at the interview stage ... there's nothing more appealing than human frailty - there are many pop stars who are adored for their 'frailties' so why not Lee. Believe me ... I hated him after that Sara episode (and yet up until that point - he'd been nothing but a gentleman). I'm glad he won ... he deserved it. June 11, 200817 yr IMO all the "fired" contestants looked more efficient than the acutal four finalists tonight :P Oh and the winner is the one who lied on his CV, and who was learning his perfume speech by heart, right? Sounds like a great natural and clever businessman indeed  Really, Sir Allan is $h!t
June 11, 200817 yr Author I felt really sorry for Lee today when he was preparing for the speech I have to admit. That would be my worst nightmare (I'm an awful public speaker and get REALLY nervous) and I'd be so much worse than him! I was pleased he pulled it off, but I still wish that Claire had won. I do agree about the editing...I think if we saw what went on the whole tim, our impressions of people would be so different!

But it is just a TV program for entertainment purposes only. I'm sure Bill Gates wouldn't hire any of them to open his mail! And as for lying on the CV ... who hasn't? Personally I think it shows initiative! I wish I'd have lied on my CV - maybe I'd be in a decent job now instead of a c**p one! Norma

Maybe you should apply for the next series of the apprentice :o
June 11, 200817 yr Aww you deserve a good job Norma! (I know I don't know you hardly at all but you seem really genuine!) Maybe you should apply for the next series of the apprentice :o I'm too old! But I could lie about my age on my cv! Norma
June 11, 200817 yr Author I'm too old! But I could lie about my age on my cv! Norma Well I'd be too young (I think) :(
June 11, 200817 yr I assume you only have to be 18 to apply but I'm guessing the chances of getting on there without a lot of experience and/or a degree are fairly slim...
June 11, 200817 yr Author I assume you only have to be 18 to apply but I'm guessing the chances of getting on there without a lot of experience and/or a degree are fairly slim... Yeah I was thinking that. I'd be the worst candidate ever though, I'd be so nervous all the time and have no self-confidence  I'd kind of like to see how far I'd get though!
June 11, 200817 yr I would so love it if someone off here went on the Apprentice! You've all got to be so much better than anyone from this or the last series. Although series 1 and 2 would be hard to beat (we'll forget the fiasco of Michelle Dewberry's appointment - when we all know the Badger should have won!) Norma

I was pleased he pulled it off, but I still wish that Claire had won. But you possibly wouldn't put yourself in a position where you had to - i.e. apply for a job as the apprentice who has to pitch day in day out  Personally I thought of Lee as a great seller and good person - but Claire was the better all-rounder and skilled in all areas, and thus would have probably been more of an asset to SA's company, IMO ;)
June 11, 200817 yr Claire should have won i think, she better all rounder as a candidate whilst Lee wasnt ready yet.
