Posted June 11, 200817 yr From BBC: Chelsea have named Luiz Felipe Scolari as their new manager in succession to Avram Grant. Scolari, who is currently in charge of Portugal at Euro 2008, will take over at Stamford Bridge on 1 July.
June 11, 200817 yr So much for him wanting a quiet non-invasive private life then... But anyway, i'm not sure what he'll do with Chelsea. I don't rate or like him as a manager at all. Looks like the Portugease contingent will follow at Chelsea though.
June 11, 200817 yr He can't speak a word of English either, I certainly can't see him having any quick success...

June 11, 200817 yr Maybe the Chelsea players will have to learn to speak Portuguese or Spanish  Well it really wouldn't suprise me. He's going to have to learn English very quickly. Just look at Capello, it's taken him 6 months just to conduct an interview in English... Scolari isn't going to have that luxury. I really see a big clearout at Chelsea now, the only plus point I can see to him is maybe he can attract some big players to the club... possibly someone like Kaka if he ever became avaliable.
June 11, 200817 yr *cough* the well past it now Ronaldinho :kink: don't half the team already speak Portuguese or Spanish :kink:
June 18, 200817 yr I like Big Phil but not sure he will adapt to English football Thank god they never went for Ramos
