From BBC:

Chelsea have named Luiz Felipe Scolari as their new manager in succession to Avram Grant.

Scolari, who is currently in charge of Portugal at Euro 2008, will take over at Stamford Bridge on 1 July.

So much for him wanting a quiet non-invasive private life then...

But anyway, i'm not sure what he'll do with Chelsea. I don't rate or like him as a manager at all. Looks like the Portugease contingent will follow at Chelsea though.

Maybe the Chelsea players will have to learn to speak Portuguese or Spanish

Well it really wouldn't suprise me. He's going to have to learn English very quickly. Just look at Capello, it's taken him 6 months just to conduct an interview in English... Scolari isn't going to have that luxury. I really see a big clearout at Chelsea now, the only plus point I can see to him is maybe he can attract some big players to the club... possibly someone like Kaka if he ever became avaliable.

*cough* the well past it now Ronaldinho :kink:

don't half the team already speak Portuguese or Spanish :kink:
